The invention relates to a safety valve comprising a valve body with a guide bore which defines a longitudinal axis, a first opening which is formed on a base of the guide bore, and a second opening which is formed at a distance to the base along the longitudinal axis and which extends along a radial direction extending transversely to the longitudinal axis; a valve needle which is movably mounted in the guide bore of the valve body in an axial direction and which comprises a seal surface facing the first opening; a compression spring device with a spring that is compressed by a deflection and thereby biases the valve needle along the longitudinal axis into a seal position, in which the seal surface of the valve needle seals the first opening; and a thermally activatable trigger unit which has an extension along the longitudinal axis, said extension being greater than the deflection, and which is designed to collapse when a trigger temperature is reached, wherein the compression spring device is supported against the trigger unit.

A gas injector is provided for the direct injection of a gaseous medium into a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine, which includes an adjustable valve member, a stationary sealing sleeve having a first sealing seat, a movable sealing element having a second sealing seat and a restoring element for resetting the sealing element and the valve member to an initial position, the first sealing seat and the second sealing seat forming a valve seat of the gas injector, and the valve member being disposed in the sealing sleeve.

A gas injector, for injecting gaseous fuel, includes a valve body having a first valve seat and a second valve seat, and a closing element, which has a first sealing region, a second sealing region, a hollow region, which is delimited by a bottom and a wall, and an outlet opening configured in the bottom, the first valve seat sealing at the first sealing region, and the second valve seat sealing at the second sealing region, and at least one through opening being provided in the wall of the closing element, so that the gaseous fuel is able to be expelled both from the inner hollow region and the outer region of the closing element.

A valve for a cold gas generator for an airbag in a vehicle includes: a valve chamber; a control chamber; a control piston; an overflow channel; a retaining element; and a shutoff element. The valve chamber includes an inlet from the cold gas generator and an outlet to the airbag. The control piston separates the control chamber and the valve chamber. The control piston is movable between an open position and a closed position, the control piston releasing the outlet in the open position and closing it in the closed position. The control piston has (i) a first active piston surface on the side of the valve chamber, and (ii) a second active piston surface on the side of the control chamber. The first piston surface is smaller than the second piston surface. The overflow channel fluidically connects the valve chamber and the control chamber to one another.

Valve for a cold gas generator and airbag system

An activation device for a protection device includes: a body with a chamber that has, respectively at first and second ends, a medium inlet opening to a medium storage and a valve opening, and an outlet opening for discharging the medium into the protection device between the first and second ends; a valve for opening and closing the valve opening for passage of the medium; and a piston that (a) includes a passage along a main extension axis, from a first surface thereof adjacent to the medium inlet opening, to a second surface thereof, larger than the first surface and adjacent to the valve opening, and (b) is movable in the chamber by the medium and as a function of the control valve position between a position in which the at least one outlet opening is closed and a position in which the at least one outlet opening is opened.

The invention relates to a variable turbine geometry () of an exhaust gas turbocharger () of a motor vehicle, with a fixed guide blade ring () and an axially moveable control blade ring (), wherein an axial relative position of guide blades () of the guide blade ring () to control blades () of the control blade ring () defines the size of inflow cross sections to a turbine wheel () of the exhaust gas turbocharger (), and wherein the guide blades () and the control blades () extend in directions opposite to each other as far as to their respective free ends () and the control blades () are arranged on a cross carrier of the control blade ring (), which as a function of the axial relative position opens, partially opens or closes additional inflow paths () for the enlargement or the reduction of the inflow cross sections. Furthermore, an exhaust gas turbocharger () with such a variable turbine geometry () as well as a method for the control of the inflow of an exhaust gas turbine with such a variable turbine geometry is proposed.
