A tractor-mounted front loader includes a parking stand mounted to each of a pair of downwardly and forwardly inclined arm sections coupled to an implement resting on the ground. Each parking stand includes a support leg and a brace, the latter having a rear end pivotally mounted to a location approximately halfway between opposite ends of the support leg and an forward end pivotally mounted to a lower region of an associated loader arm section. The support leg and brace may be stored on the loader arm section by folding them together with a catch carried by the brace becoming releasably engaged with the support leg. The folded support leg and brace are then pivoted against the loader arm section and secured to it by a releasable latch which secures the top of the support leg to the arm section to establish a stored position.

A front loader arrangement includes a bracket, a mounting mast mounted on upper and lower bearings of the bracket, a loader arm which is articulated to a first pivot pin on the mast, a loader support articulated to a second pivot pin on the mast, and a locking device for locking the mast to the bracket. The locking device is arranged on the loader support. The locking device includes a pivoting locking bar which is mounted on a third pivot pin on the loader support, a pre-tensioning device which pre-tensions the locking bar depending on its position relative to the loader support into an open or a closed position, and an adjusting device arranged on the mast which can be brought into engagement with the locking bar, by which the locking bar can be moved into the closed position.

A carrier is provided for releasably attaching a tool to the lift arms of a work machine. The carrier comprises a lift arm attachment point for attachment to the lift arm, a tool attachment point for releasable attachment of the tool to the carrier, and a contact pad, for contacting the tool in use. In use, the lift arm and contact pad lie in the same vertical plane. Providing a contact pad between the carrier and tool in line with the lift arm removes any transverse bending forces on the carrier.

System for attaching a tool to a work machine

A remotely operable latching system for securing an implement to a carrier mounted to a forward end of a lifting arm for pivoting about a horizontal tilt axis. The latching system is mounted to the carrier and includes a latching rod arrangement operated by an extensible and retractable linear electric motor between a retracted latching position and an extended unlatching position. A secondary latch arrangement is provided for rotating the latching rod arrangement to an arrested position preventing movement of the rod arrangement to its latching position once the latching rod is extended to its unlatching position. Movement of the rod arrangement to its arrested position is aided by a spring and by the electric motor. A microprocessor based control unit is coupled to the electric motor and acts in response to a boom height input signals to prevent operation of the motor when the boom is above a preset height.

Latching system for securing an implement to a carrier mounted to a lifting arm

A parking stand arrangement for a tractor-mounted front loader includes a parking stand mounted to each of a pair of arm sections which are inclined downwardly and forwardly to a carried implement resting on the ground. Each parking stand includes a support leg and a brace, the latter being about half the length of the former and having a rear end pivotally mounted to a location approximately halfway between opposite ends of the support leg and an forward end pivotally mounted to a lower region of an associated loader arm section. The support leg and brace may be stored on the loader arm section by folding them together with a catch carried by the brace becoming releasably engaged with the support leg. The folded support leg and brace are then pivoted against the loader arm section and secured to it by a releasable latch which secures the top of the support leg to the arm section to establish a stored position. Movement of the parking stand from the stored position to a parked position includes the steps of releasing the latch and then the catch from the support leg and then unfolding the support leg and brace so that a hook at the top of the support leg is engaged with a mounting pin fixed to the loader arm section and a foot carried by the leg is engaged with the ground at a location rearward of the loader center of gravity.

A front-mounted loader includes a pair of loader arms each having a rear end pivotally coupled to a loader mast which, in turn, includes lower and upper cross pins respectively located in an upwardly opening and forwardly opening pin receptacles. The forwardly opening receptacle of each loader mounting frame forms a fixed part of a latch assembly defining an upper region of the mounting frame and including latch member mounted for pivoting about a horizontal axis and having a forward nose provided with a downwardly opening receptacle which engages the upper cross pin when the mast is latched to the mounting frame. An over center biasing spring is connected to each latch member and resists movement either from a latching position or an unlatching position. Each mast carries a latch member operating rod which, during detaching the mast from the associated loader mounting frame, acts to engage and move the latch member from its unlatching position, to which it has previously been manually moved, to a latching position once the upper cross pin is moved forwardly from the associated forwardly opening pin receptacle of the mounting frame.

A work machine includes a frame and a front latch system carried by the frame at a front end of the work machine. The latch system includes a pair of laterally spaced, generally horizontally oriented slots, with each slot defined by an upper edge and a lower edge. The upper edge is longer than the lower edge and extends forward of the lower edge. A loader includes a pair of laterally spaced braces, with each brace having a distal end configured for contacting the ground when the loader is detached from the frame. A cross member coupled between the braces is received within the slots of the front latch system.

An arrangement for the attachment or detachment of a loader assembly or similar implement from a tractor includes a first member adapted to be received by a tractor, a second member adjustably connected to the first member, the second member adapted to receive the implement, and a third member also adapted to be received by the tractor, the third member mounted to the first member for movement between first and second positions relative to the tractor, movement of the third member from its first position into its second position causing transformation of the third member into an upright portion that assists in stabilization of the first and second members and the implement against the ground.

Arrangement for the attachment or detachment of an assembly to a base structure

The masts of a front-end loader are releasably attached to vertical plates of a loader mounting frame located at the opposite sides of a tractor by latch hooks pivotally mounted to the masts and engaged with latching elements carried by the vertical plates. An over center biasing arrangement acts on each latch hook and acts to bias the latch hook to a closed position, but moves over center when the latch is manually opened so as to bias the latch to its open position. The pins pivotally coupling the latches to the masts also serve to couple the piston rods of a pair of loader boom lift cylinders to the masts. Extension of the cylinders during detaching the masts from the vertical plates causes the opened latch hooks to be pivoted to the extent that the biasing elements move over center and reset the latches to their closed positions, which positions are conducive for automatically reattaching the mast to the vertical plates.

A rotary cutter has a deck assembly including a central unit to which a wing unit is attached for flexing vertically. A hydraulic cylinder is provided for lifting the wing unit 90&deg; to a fully raised transport or shipping position. Located above, and extending generally parallel to, the hydraulic cylinder is a telescopic strut incorporating a spring which becomes compressed as the wing unit approaches its fully raised position, the compressed spring unloading to thrust the wing unit down upon pressure being released from the hydraulic cylinder, even if the weight of the wing unit is tending to keep it in its raised position. Wing unit may be locked in its raised position by inserting a pin through the telescoped members of the strut when the latter is in its fully collapsed condition.
