A separating wall for dividing a heating volume of a power circuit into a first sub-volume and a second sub-volume. The separating wall is formed with at least one wall opening which allows a flow of gas between the sub-volumes. The wall opening has an aerodynamically active opening surface based on a pressure difference between a pressure in the first sub-volume and a pressure in the second sub-volume.

Dividing a heating volume of a power circuit

A high-voltage power switch, preferably with a dead tank design, contains: a switching unit that has a switching device and an actuation element that is axially movable in relation to a longitudinal axis of the switching device to actuate the switching device and a closing resistor unit that has a closing resistor arrangement and an adjusting element that is axially movable in relation to a longitudinal axis of this closing resistor arrangement to actuate the closing resistor arrangement. The actuation element is coupled to the adjusting element in order to move the latter. Accordingly, the longitudinal axis of the switching unit and the longitudinal axis of the closing resistor unit are spaced apart, and the actuation and adjusting elements are coupled by a coupling device of the high-voltage power switch.

An arrangement and a method for switching high currents include at least one vacuum switching path and at least one rated-current contact switching path. The at least two switching paths are electrically connected in parallel. One current path for a rated current is routed over at least one rated-current contact of said rated-current contact switching path, and a parallel current path for a short-circuit current is routed over at least one contact of a vacuum tube of the vacuum switching path.

Arrangement and method for switching high currents in high-, medium- and/or low-voltage engineering

An interrupter unit for a circuit breaker has two electrically conductive arcing contact pieces, which can be moved relative to one another along a switching path. An insulating nozzle has a nozzle channel through which the switching path runs. A heating volume is connected to the nozzle channel. A separating housing divides the heating volume into a cold gas region and a hot gas region. A cold gas duct runs through a nozzle channel end section of the nozzle channel and is connected to the cold gas region. A hot gas duct runs through the nozzle channel end section and is connected to the hot gas region.

Interrupter unit for a circuit breaker

A switchgear includes an interrupter unit. The interrupter unit is provided with first and second switching contact pieces that are movable relative to one another. A switching-gas duct that runs through the interrupter unit originates at an arc gap in which an electric arc can burn. The duct connects the arc gap to the surroundings of the interrupter unit. At least some sections of the switching-gas duct are delimited by mutually encompassing elements similar to an annular duct. One of the elements is a first member which is braced at the end similar to a pipe joint and which has a free end that projects in the direction of the arc gap.

Switchgear arrangement

A switching device arrangement has a first contact set and a second contact set. The first contact set includes a first electric arc contact element and a first nominal current contact element. The first nominal current contact element can be moved relative to the first electric arc contact element. A first transmission is introduced in a kinematic chain in order to generate a relative movement of the first nominal current contact element and the first electric arc contact element. The first transmission is operationally connected between a stationary counter bearing and the first electric arc contact piece.

Switching device arrangement

A switching arrangement has a first contact set and a second contact set which can be moved with respect to the first contact set, and an insulating nozzle arrangement. The insulating nozzle arrangement is supported on the first contact set which includes a first arcing contact piece. The first arcing contact piece can be moved with respect to the insulating nozzle arrangement.

Switching arrangement

A switching device has a first contact side with a first nominal current contact piece and a first electric arc contact piece, and a second contact side with a second electric arc contact piece and a second nominal current contact piece. In order to generate a relative movement between the first and second contact sides, the first electric arc contact piece and the first nominal current contact piece as well as the second electric arc contact piece and the second nominal current contact piece are driven. For switching, the first contact piece is moved by a movement profile and the first nominal current contact piece is moved by a movement profile that differs from the movement profile of the first electric arc contact piece. A movement profile of the second electric arc contact piece and the second nominal current contact piece deviate from each other.

Switching method and switching device

A switchgear has an interrupter unit that includes an arc gap. A first and a second switching contact piece are movable relative to one another. A switching-gas duct originates in the arc gap and connects the arc gap to the surroundings of the interrupter unit. A hollow vessel arrangement delimits at least some sections of the switching-gas duct and is connected to one of the contact pieces. The hollow vessel arrangement includes an external outlet opening for the switching-gas duct.

A circuit breaker unit has first and second arcing contact pieces. A breaker gap is formed between the two arcing contact pieces. A switching gas channel leads to the breaker gap and guides the switching gas to a switching gas outlet opening of the circuit breaker unit. The switching gas channel is formed with first and second pipe sections that overlap each other at least in sections and have discharge openings in their cover surfaces. Continuous discharge openings in the first and in the second pipe sections are axially offset in relation to each other.

Arrangement comprising a circuit breaker unit

A power circuit breaker unit has first and second arcing contact pieces. A contact gap is formed between the arcing contact pieces. A switch gas channel of the circuit breaker unit joins the contact gap to the surrounding area of the circuit breaker unit for removing a switch gas from the contact gap. Several barriers that increase a flow resistance are arranged successively, spaced from one another, in the switch gas channel. At least one of the barriers is arranged between a first pipe section, which is surrounded by a second pipe section, and the second pipe section.

Circuit breaker unit

A circuit breaker includes a first contact and a second contact. An electric arc zone is disposed between the contacts. A feed channel opens into the electric arc zone, connecting the electric arc zone to a hot gas reservoir volume. The hot gas reservoir volume, in turn, is connected to a compression volume. An outflow opening is disposed in a wall of the compression volume. The outflow opening is permanently open, at least in a contacting state of the contacts.

Gas blast circuit breaker

A switchgear assembly has a contact gap and an insulating material nozzle. The insulating material nozzle at least partly encloses the contact gap. A nozzle channel for the insulating material nozzle opens with a outlet opening in a hot gas space. A deflector element is disposed within the hot gas space which defines a deflector channel. The deflector channel has a segment which has an expanding cross-section in the stream direction of a switching gas in the hot gas space.
