The apparatus is also caused to receive an indication of acknowledgment of receipt of a higher-priority one of the exams or information regarding the respective exam. This includes the apparatus being caused to receive an indication of long selection of first information indicating the respective exam's designation as being higher priority, direct presentation of a dialog that includes a user interface element for the acknowledgment, receive an indication of selection of the user interface element, and receive an indication of selection of the first information, without first receiving an indication of user interaction with any other area of the user interface.

A location of respective regions of interest corresponds to locations of touch points. The processor is further configured to define a diameter of regions of interest based on a width/pressure of the touch points and define the regions of interest to include a disc including a contour(s). The regions of interest correspond to an area for annotating the medical image(s). Corresponding computer program products and methods are also provided.

An apparatus is provided for adaptively adjusting the rendering quality of one or more images. The apparatus may include at least one memory and at least one processor configured to adjust a rendering quality associated with display of one or more images to degrade the images based in part on a determined distance corresponding to a predetermined threshold. The processor is further configured to cause the apparatus to enable rendering and display of the degraded images in response to receipt of the degraded images from a device or retrieval of the degraded images from a locally stored memory. The degraded images include images having a size that is smaller than a size of corresponding original images. Corresponding computer program products and methods are also provided.

Methods, apparatuses and computer program products for providing adaptive rendering quality degradation

An apparatus is provided that includes a processor and a memory storing executable instructions that in response to execution by the processor cause the apparatus to at least perform a number of functions. The apparatus is caused to direct presentation of a list for a plurality of patients and that is clustered by patient. The apparatus is caused to apply a keyword filter to identify a subset of the patient exams that match the keyword filter, and rank the respective exams by relevance to the keyword filter. The apparatus is caused to direct presentation of a filtered list of patient exams that is clustered by patient in the filtered list of patient exams. And for each patient having patient exams in the subset of the patient exams, the respective patient exams are in ranked order in the filtered list of patient exams according to the keyword filter.

A method for providing in-band client telemetry data may include receiving a message, from a first application, intended to be communicated to a second application via a network, the message being otherwise unrelated to client telemetry data. Method and apparatus for providing in-band client telemetry data

A method, apparatus and computer program product are provided to process a compressed image, such as a normalized DICOM image. A method may receive a compressed image having pixels that each have by a pixel value having a predefined number of bits in a grayscale format. The method may decompress the image by mapping the pixel value into two channels of a multi-channel output buffer, such as a red-green-blue (RGB) output buffer, such that each channel has fewer than the predefined number of bits. The method may render a scene of the image based upon camera coordinates and, for a rendered pixel, sample a plurality of RGB values, convert the plurality of RGB values to the grayscale format having the predefined number of bits, perform an interpolation of the RGB values following conversion to the grayscale format and perform a window level operation on the result of the interpolation.

Systems, methods, apparatus, and computer program products are provided for monitoring and allocating shared resources. For example, in one embodiment, the status of resource dependent entities is continuously monitored to determine the current use of a shared resource. When a resource dependent entity requires use of the shared resource, a (a) request for use of the shared resource can be generated and (b) determination can be made as to whether any of the current allocations of the shared resource can be released for use by the resource dependent entity.

A method, apparatus and computer program product are provided to normalize DICOM image data such that normalized images may be efficiently transmitted to client devices and processed thereby. A method may include converting a DICOM image to a normalized image having a different file format, such as JPEG-XR format. The conversion of the DICOM image may include compressing the DICOM image and converting each of a plurality of pixels of the DICOM image to a grayscale pixel format and a color pixel format. The method may also create a set of related images having the different file format based upon the normalized image. The creation of the set of related images may include creating a plurality of images having different pixel dimensions that are smaller than the pixel dimensions of the normalized image. The method may also transform ancillary information related to the DICOM image to a human readable format.

Method, apparatus and computer program product for normalizing and processing medical images

An apparatus is provided that includes a processor to at least perform or cause the apparatus to at least perform a number of operations. These operations include receiving pressure-measurement signals from a keyboard including an arrangement of keys, and a plurality of pressure sensors associated with a respective plurality of the keys. In this regard, the pressure sensors are configured to measure a pressure applied to the respective plurality of the keys, and produce the pressure-measurement signals representative of the measured pressure. The operations also include predicting one or more next keystrokes on the keyboard as a function of the pressure-measurement signals, and determining one or more commands or instructions for directing performance of one or more operations of an apparatus or software operating on the apparatus, where the command(s) or instruction(s) are determined as a function of the predicted next keystroke(s).
