The object of the application is an apparatus for the manufacturing of rods of a continuous material strand comprising a feeding unit for feeding the material strand, a guiding unit for guiding the material strand, a compressing unit for compressing the strand and forming a continuous rod of the material strand, and an object feeding unit for feeding an object to the compressing unit, the apparatus being adapted to feed three partial strands of the material strand, whereas the partial strands are fed through the guiding unit to the compressing unit characterised in that the object feeding unit is adapted to insert the object in the radial direction of the formed continuous rod into the compressing unit between the partial strands. The object of the application is also a method for the manufacturing of rods of the continuous material strand.

Method and apparatus for manufacturing of rods

An apparatus for manufacturing of rods of a continuous material strand comprising a feeding unit for feeding material strand, a guiding unit for guiding material strand, a compressing unit for compressing the strand and forming a continuous rod of the material strand, and an object feeding unit for feeding an object to the compressing unit. The apparatus is characterised by being provided with a cutting unit for lengthwise cutting of the material strand into at least two partial strands, whereas the partial strands are fed through the guiding unit to the compressing unit. It is provided with a system for adjusting the position of at least one cutting element in the cutting unit so as to adjust the widths of the partial strands thus determining the point of insertion of the object being inserted.

Bead feeding unit () on a production machine in the tobacco industry, provided with a unit of supply channels () feeding individual bead () streams from a store (A) to holding pockets () situated at the outlets of the supply channels (), a transferring unit () comprising two guiding discs () situated coaxially and movable feeding means () adapted to direct the beads to receiving channels () of the transferring unit (). The unit () is characterised in that the transferring unit () has at least one cleaning element () adapted to clean the holding pockets ().

Bead feeding method and bead feeding unit

An assembly for separating selected defective objects from a group of objects used in tobacco industry, the group comprising regular objects having a form of substantially spherical external surface of a determined diameter and the remaining objects being defective objects, the assembly comprising a sieve element () having through channels () or holes and a generally flat blocking element () located under the sieve element, the blocking element having an upper surface/B) and through holes (), the sieve element and the blocking element being displaceable in a direction parallel and/or perpendicular with respect to each other at least between a first configuration and a second configuration. In the first configuration the channels or holes of the sieve element, and the holes of the blocking element enable the regular objects and selected defective objects to enter the upper parts of the channels and they enable the regular objects to fall through the lower parts of the channels and through the holes of the blocking element, while they hold said selected defective objects. In the second configuration the channels or holes of the sieve element and the holes of the blocking element enable said defective objects held in the first configuration to fall through the assembly. A unit for uneven transferring of a bead () stream in a filter manufacturing machine, from receiving pockets () to leading away pockets (), through guiding grooves disposed on guiding plates, comprising two guiding plates () situated on top of each other, whereas a guiding groove (A) of the first guiding plate () and a guiding groove (A) of the second guiding plate () intersect, forming at least one bead () guiding chamber, whereas at least one of the guiding plates () is movable, wherein the receiving pockets () and the leading away pockets () are disposed along the circumference of the guiding plates () so that the distances (S1, S2, T1, T2) between the successive pockets () are alternately different.

Method and unit for uneven transferring of beads

Device for transferring cylindrical segments from a hopper onto a grouping belt is provided with a guiding drum, having flutes on its periphery and a circumferentially closed conveyor which delivers segments to a rotary element with pushers. Conveyor with seats with a catching element for catching segments, and transferring the segments from the conveyor to the element is effected by means of a spiral drum. The device has a push-down element constituted by a cam with a groove of a height corresponding to the diameter of the segment. The catching element has the form of a depression in the body of the seat shaped as a half of a cylinder, corresponding to the diameter of the segment, with locks on edges, whereas the axis of the depression is perpendicular to the direction of motion of the conveyor.

Device for transferring filter segments in the process of manufacturing multi-segment filter rods

A method and device for feeding beads in a tobacco industry system including a bead container, a bead feeding unit having a plurality of channels for supplying a plurality of bead streams, a unit for transferring the beads to the filter material, where the beads are fed from holding pockets of the bead feeding unit to receiving pockets of the bead transfer unit, in which the beads are supplied from the bead container to a plurality of channels of the bead feeding unit which form holding pockets; the beads are fed from the holding pockets of the bead feeding unit to the receiving pockets of the bead transfer unit and to a delivery wheel by a movable feeding device; the beads are picked up from the receiving pockets by a movable guiding device.

The subject matter of the application is a method of feeding beads in the tobacco industry system, in a unit for transferring a stream of beads (), from receiving pockets () to outfeeding pockets (), where the beads are transferred along guiding grooves (A,B,A,B,C) disposed on guiding plates (), comprising the steps in which: the beads are fed to a guiding chamber () formed at the intersection of the guiding groove (A,B) of the first guiding plate () and the guiding groove (A,B,C) of the second guiding plate (); at least one guiding plate is rotated relative to the second guiding plate, which forces the movement of the guiding chamber () so that the distance of the guiding chamber () to the axis of rotation of the guiding plates changes; the beads are conveyed from the guiding chamber () to the outfeeding pocket (). The subject matter of the application is also a device for the implementation of the method.
