Systems and methods are described to detect a location to place an advertisement in a media asset, the method comprising, identifying a plurality of points in a video frame of a media asset, detecting a color associated with each point of the plurality of points, calculating a change in color between each point of the plurality of points, comparing the change in color between each point of the plurality of points with a threshold, identifying, based on the comparing, an area within the frame that constitutes a surface; and selecting an advertisement to be placed on the surface.

Systems and method for dynamic insertion of advertisements

The methods and systems described herein re-order social media feed items. In one example, the methods and systems receive on a user device social media feed items having a defined sequential order for display in a social media feed. The methods and systems also detect an occurrence of a triggering event and in response to the detection, reorder one or more of the social media feed items in a new order for display. The methods and systems further generate for display the one or more social media feed items in the social media feed in the new order.

Systems and methods for re-ordering social media feed items

The methods and systems described herein reorder feed items. In one example, the methods and systems store in a memory feed items in a defined sequential order for display in a feed. The methods and systems monitoring a speed of scrolling the feed items (scroll speed) on a user device. The methods and systems also determine that the scroll speed is equal or greater than a scroll threshold and in response to the determination reorder one or more of the feed items in a new order for display in the feed. The methods and systems also generate for display the one or more feed items in the feed in the new order.
