Systems and methods of voltage based switching of a power supply system current are disclosed. In one embodiment, a power supply system includes a power bus to supply electrical power to a system load. A power supply is coupled to the power bus. The power supply provides current to the power bus and generates a voltage &#x3b1;. In addition, the system includes an additional power supply coupled to the power bus. The additional power supply generates a voltage &#x3b2; that is lower than the voltage &#x3b1;. An oring module restricts the additional power supply from providing current to the power bus, until a power bus voltage &#x3b8; is greater than a threshold voltage.

Voltage based switching of a power supply system current

A method and systems of adaptation of an active power supply set using an event trigger are disclosed. In an embodiment, a method includes providing power to a system load using an active power supply set. The active power supply set includes a power supply in an active mode. The method also includes detecting an event trigger. In addition, the method includes increasing a power mode of an additional power supply when the event trigger is detected. The method may include detecting an additional event trigger and decreasing the power mode of a unit of the active power supply set when the additional event trigger is detected.

Adaptation of an active power supply set using an event trigger

An AC/DC power supply, a method of delivering DC power at multiple voltages and a computer data storage system. In one embodiment the AC/DC power supply includes: (1) a transformer having a primary winding couplable to an AC power source and a secondary winding inductively couplable to the primary winding and (2) multiple DC voltage rails coupled to the secondary winding at designated locations and configured to deliver power to loads coupled thereto, each of the DC voltage rails configured to dynamically transfer therebetween an available portion of the power in response to changes in the loads.
