A patient interface is configured to deliver breathable gas to a patient. The patient interface includes a cushion configured to form a seal with the patient's face and a frame with an elongated body comprising a central bore and a circumferential channel. The circumferential channel is configured to receive a rim of the cushion. Headgear is attachable to the frame and is configured to support the cushion and the frame on the patient's head. The headgear includes a left rigidizer attached to a left front strap and a right rigidizer attached to a right front strap. The left and right rigidizers are arranged to have different flexibilities in different directions so that a stiffness of the left and right rigidizers in a first direction resist a vertical rotation of the patient interface.

Ergonomic and adjustable respiratory mask assembly with cushion

A patient interface assembly includes a frame with a central aperture by which a flow of pressurized breathable gas is introduced in use. The frame includes a wall on a central portion of the frame that surrounds the central aperture. A cushion is removably secured to the frame at the wall surrounding the central aperture and is made of a material that is relatively softer than the frame. A headgear assembly includes a pair of strap portions constructed of a flexible fabric material. A pair of yoke portions is positioned between the strap portions and the frame. Each yoke portion has a proximal end adjacent the frame and a distal end having a connector slot that connects to the respective strap portion of the headgear assembly. The yoke portions have a multilayer construction with one layer being a fabric layer. The yoke portions have a degree of flexibility in one direction and are more resistant to bending in another direction generally orthogonal to the one direction to resist vertical rotation of the patient interface assembly.

Ergonomic and adjustable respiratory mask assembly with elbow assembly

A patient interface is configured to treat sleep disordered breathing of a patient and includes a frame having a central bore configured to connect to an elbow, a cushion supported on the frame and defining a breathing chamber configured to receive the pressurized gas, and a headgear assembly configured to support the frame and the cushion on the patient's face, the headgear assembly comprising a pair of Y-shaped front straps and a pair of Y-shaped rigidizers attached to a respective one of the pair of Y-shaped front straps. Each Y-shaped rigidizer is connected to the frame and adds rigidity to the respective one of the pair of Y-shaped front straps, and each Y-shaped front strap and each Y-shaped rigidizer has a respective top end extending away from an intersection of the Y and is configured to extend along the patient's temple region, in use.

A respiratory mask assembly for delivering breathable gas to a patient includes a frame having a front surface and a rear surface, opposite the front surface, and adapted in use to face the patient. The frame defines an inner wall and an outer wall extending from the rear surface, the inner and outer walls being spaced to define a channel therebetween. A cushion is removably attachable to the frame such that the cushion and frame are repeatably engagable with and disengagable from one another. The cushion includes a side wall to be inserted into the channel of the frame, the side wall having a first interlocking surface that engages a second interlocking surface provided in the channel when the cushion and frame are engaged with one another. The first and second interlocking surfaces interlock with one another to removably attach the cushion to the frame.

A respiratory mask assembly for delivering breathable gas to a patient includes a frame having a front surface and a rear surface, opposite the front surface, and adapted in use to face the patient. The frame defines an inner wall and an outer wall extending from the rear surface, the inner and outer walls being spaced to define a channel therebetween. A cushion is removably attachable to the frame such that the cushion and frame are repeatably engagable with and disengageable from one another. The cushion includes a side wall to be inserted into the channel of the frame, the side wall having a first interlocking surface that engages a second interlocking surface provided in the channel when the cushion and frame are engaged with one another. A patient interface includes a frame having a circular opening to receive pressurized gas and a cushion supported on the frame and defining a breathing chamber configured to receive the pressurized gas. The patient interface further includes support structure configured to support the patient interface on the patient's head, a plurality of gas washout holes configured to vent gas from the breathing chamber to atmosphere, and an elbow assembly. The elbow assembly includes a rotatable elbow that is releasably snap-fittable to the frame. The rotatable elbow having a pair of diametrically opposed flexible sides that are configured to flex upon engagement with the frame and produce an audible click when the rotatable elbow has been securely attached to the frame. The rotatable elbow further includes a pair of diametrically opposed finger depressable release portions that are resiliently movable towards one another to allow release of the rotatable elbow from the frame.

One-piece cushion with base and nozzles

A patient interface has a frame with an opening to receive pressurized gas; a cushion permanently co-molded to frame and defining a breathing chamber; an elbow assembly releasably snap-fittable to the frame with an audible click signaling secure attachment between the elbow assembly and the frame, the elbow assembly including a rotatable swivel elbow; headgear to support the patient interface on the patient's head; and a plurality of gas washout holes to allow escape of COfrom the breathing chamber.

A respiratory mask assembly for delivering breathable gas to a patient includes a frame having a front surface and a rear surface adapted in use to face the patient. The frame includes a main body providing an aperture therethrough for the introduction of breathable gas into a nasal breathing cavity. An elbow assembly is swivelably coupled to the front surface of the frame. The elbow assembly includes a swivel elbow that defines an intake port and an exhaust port separated from the intake port using a baffle. The elbow assembly includes an end portion that interfaces with the aperture of the frame.

A respiratory mask assembly for delivering breathable gas to a patient includes a frame having a front surface and a rear surface adapted in use to face the patient. A cushion having a side wall is removably attachable to the frame. The cushion has a rim extending away from the side wall, and a membrane provided to substantially surround the rim. An inner edge of the membrane defines an aperture, the aperture having a generally trapezoidal shape.
