An ultrasound diagnostic device includes a plurality of channels configured to receive data and a scan line data forming unit including a plurality of sub-scan line data forming groups and a data summing unit. The sub-scan line data forming group forms partial data of scan lines, and the data summing unit forms scan line data of the scan lines by summing the partial data. The sub-scan line data forming group includes a plurality of sub-scan line data forming units for forming the partial data of the scan lines by using the receiving data and providing a transmission path of the receiving data. First data lines transmit the receiving data between at least one of the sub-scan data forming unit and the channels, and second data lines transfer the receiving data between the sub-scan line data forming units.

Ultrasound diagnostic device and method for forming scan line data

There are disclosed embodiments for forming an enhanced elastic image in an ultrasound system. An elastic image of a target object may be formed by scanning N scan lines. A control unit divides the N scan lines into M scan lines groups by using an acquisition period necessary for transmitting and receiving ultrasound signals to acquire ultrasound data. An ultrasound data acquiring unit transmits ultrasound signals to a target object and receives the ultrasound signals reflected from the target object at a predetermined transmission/reception sequence for each of the M scan line groups. This forms ultrasound data corresponding to each of the M scan line groups while a pressure is applied to the target object. An elastic image forming unit forms at least one sub elastic image corresponding to each of the M scan line groups based on the ultrasound data. The elastic forming unit sums M sub elastic images corresponding to the respective M scan line groups to thereby form an elastic image of the target object.

An ultrasound system and method for forming ultrasound data corresponding to a receive scan line independent of a synthetic aperture. A method of displaying an elastic image, comprising: a) performing transmission/reception of an ultrasound signal along a plurality of scan lines set on a target object to obtain first ultrasound data, the target object including a plurality of tissues; b) performing transmission/reception of an ultrasound signal along a plurality of scan lines set on the target object by applying a stress to the target object to obtain second ultrasound data; c) calculating displacements of the tissues based on the first and second ultrasound data; d) calculating strains in the tissues based on the calculated displacements; e) forming an elastic image based on the calculated strains and a graph indicating changes of the tissues for the respective scan lines; and f) displaying the elastic image together with the graph.

The present invention relates to transmit apodization using a sinc function in an ultrasound system. Transmit apodization using a sinc function in an ultrasound system

There is provided an ultrasound system for forming strain images by decreasing decorrelation of receive signals, which vary with time or space. More specifically, the decorrelation between the receive signals obtained without and with applying stress to a target object is reduced to decrease an error, which occurs during the calculation of a delay. Also, a center frequency, which varies with depth of a target object, is compensated to form the strain image.

Embodiments of the present invention may provide an ultrasound imaging system and method for forming multiple receiving scan lines from one original receiving scan line. The present invention relates to a method of acquiring an ultrasound image in an ultrasound imaging system having an array transducer, comprising: a) setting an image point at a predetermined depth on an ultrasound image acquired based on a reference speed of sound for a target object; b) setting a range of speed of sound with reference to the reference speed; c) setting a plurality of speeds of sound in a predetermined interval within the range of speed of sound; d) acquiring ultrasound images at each speed of sound; e) calculating an amplitude of an image point set at a predetermined depth of each ultrasound image; f) determining a real speed of sound in the target object based on the calculated amplitude; and g) acquiring an ultrasound image based on the determined real speed of sound in the target object.
