A medical device that includes a handle for conveying an agent having particles and a receiver having a first lumen defined by a first end and a second end. The receiver having an axis extending between the first end and the second end. The first end configured to receive the particles from the handle, and the second end in fluid communication with a second lumen having a cross-sectional dimension smaller than a cross-sectional dimension of the first lumen. Each of the cross-sectional dimensions of the first lumen and the second lumen is measured transverse to the axis. The second end is configured to receive the particles from the first end of the receiver. The second lumen is configured to control delivery of the agent to a delivery conduit in fluid communication with the second lumen based on sizes of the particles.

Agent delivery systems and methods of using the same

This invention is directed to a medical device having a longitudinal axis, and including a handle and a catheter. The handle can include a body having a proximal end and a distal end, an actuator moveably coupled to the body, and a handle control member coupled to the actuator, wherein the actuator can be configured to move relative to the body to move the handle control member. The catheter can include a shaft having a proximal end and a distal end, wherein the proximal end of the shaft and the distal end of the body can be configured for releasable coupling. The catheter can also include a steering section located along the shaft and a catheter control member coupled to the steering section, wherein the catheter control member can be configured to move relative to the shaft to move the steering section relative to the longitudinal axis. The medical device can also include a securing member configured to move relative to at least one of the handle and the catheter to releasably couple the handle control member to the catheter control member.

Medical devices having releasable coupling

A medical device that includes an enclosure for storing an agent, an agitator positioned adjacent to or within the enclosure and configured to oscillate relative to the enclosure, and an outlet having a first end in fluid communication with the enclosure and a second end in fluid communication with a channel of a delivery tube. Oscillation of the agitator causes the agent to move toward the outlet.

A medical device comprising an enclosure defining a cavity for containing agent, a lumen for receiving a pressurized gas, and a barrier positioned between the cavity and the lumen, the barrier including at least one opening for storing agent, wherein rotation of the barrier relative to the lumen establishes fluid communication between the at least one opening and the lumen for delivering agent from the at least one opening to the lumen.

Some embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to a stent loading and delivery device, and methods for making and using the device. The device includes a handle assembly and an outer tubular member extending distally from the handle assembly. A proximal end of the outer tubular member is attached to a first handle of the handle assembly. The device includes an intermediate tubular member slidably disposed within the outer tubular member and an inner elongate member extending distally from the handle assembly within the intermediate tubular member. A stent constrainment mechanism is attached to a distal end of the intermediate tubular member and can receive a stent into a distal opening of the stent constrainment mechanism in an expanded state. Upon longitudinal actuation of the outer tubular member the stent constrainment mechanism collapses radially inward around the stent to constrain it within the outer tubular member.

Methods and systems for loading and delivering a stent

A medical device and related method of use for cutting tissue is described. The device includes an elongate tubular member having a proximal end, a distal end, and first and second lumens extending between the proximal and distal ends. The device further includes a first elongate arm having a third lumen extending distally from the first lumen and a second elongate arm having a fourth lumen extending distally from the second lumen. A cutting element extends from the third lumen of the first arm to the fourth lumen of the second arm, such that the cutting element is slidably disposed in at least one of the third and fourth lumens.

A loading basket is secured at its proximal end to a portion of a delivery device. The stent engages with the interior of the stent basket when loaded onto the delivery device to prevent shifting or movement of the stent during delivery of the stent to a desired location within the bodily lumen. In at least one embodiment, the loading basket has a proximal end, a distal end, and a braided surface. The loading basket comprises a proximal end portion, a proximal transition portion, a body portion, a distal transition portion, a distal end portion, and an angled inward distal end. When loaded onto the delivery device, the outer surface of the stent contacts at least the angled inward distal end of the delivery device and movement of the stent is prevented.
