A modular noseroller assembly for transitioning a conveyor belt at an end of a carryway comprises a plurality of roller-mounting modules connected to a spacer element to form a noseroller assembly that can be installed in a conveyor frame. The roller-mounting modules mount freely-rotating rollers on an axle extending through the plurality of roller-mounting modules. The configuration and size of the noseroller assembly can be easily modified depending on a particular application.

Modular noseroller assembly for a conveyor

A platform member for a knuckle-linked conveyor belt includes a stabilizer for pushing a conveyed product towards a side rail to stabilize the product during conveyance. The platform member may include an upper portion forming a conveying surface and a lower portion stepped down from the upper port for receiving the forward end of an adjacent platform member. A connector on the lower portion connects the platform member to a corresponding body member in the conveyor belt. The upper portion overlies and protrudes forward from the front of the lower portion. Shaped side rails on the platform member are configured to allow overlapping between adjacent side rails to minimize gaps.

Conveyor belt for product stabilization

A conveyor belt comprising a plurality of modules hingedly connected together includes a first type of module including raised ribs arranged in columns and a second type of module including chock segments aligned with the columns. A transfer device includes fingers aligned with gaps between the chock segments and valleys between the columns. Each chock segment is substantially triangular in shape.

Conveyor belt including chocking module

A modular conveyor belt and belt attachment members that are retained by hinge rods. The attachment members have a body with opposite outer and base surfaces. Interaction elements, such as high-friction surfaces, plates, or holddown wings, extend from the outer surface. The base surface mounts flush against a conveying surface or an opposite surface of the belt. Legs extend directly from the base surface into gaps between hinge elements extending longitudinally outward of conveyor belt modules forming the belt. Feet at distal ends of the legs hook under hinge rods to retain the attachment member firmly in place. The lateral spacings between the legs are related to the geometry of the hinge elements to register the attachment element with respect to the belt.

Modular conveyor belts and attachments

A modular plastic conveyor belt having an A-shaped edge portion in belt edge modules along each belt row for tight collapse of the belt at the inside of a turn. The A-shaped region comprises two alternating series of laterally spaced links, each extending from opposite ends of the edge module. Each of the first series of links forms an acute angle measured clockwise from the direction of belt travel. Each of the second series of links forms an acute angle measured counterclockwise from the direction of belt travel. The angles decrease monotonically with distance inward of the first side of the belt edge. Laterally extending webs join the ends of consecutive converging links along an end of the module. The lateral extent of the webs increases monotonically inward from a first side edge of the belt. A cross bars extends between each pair of web-joined links. First cross bars between links joined at a first end of the module lie along a first imaginary line; second cross bars between links joined at an opposite second end of the module lie along a second imaginary line. The two imaginary lines converge inward from the first side edge of the belt to form deeper gaps toward the first side edge for tighter belt collapse at the inside of a turn.

Modular plastic conveyor belt suitable for tight turns

A sprocket drive system for a modular conveyor belt that compensates for drive-shaft twist under load. The drive system includes a plurality of belt drive surfaces spaced apart across the width of the underside of each row of a modular conveyor belt. A drive shaft supports a group of sprockets at spaced-apart locations. Sprocket drive surfaces are spaced apart circumferentially around the peripheries of the sprockets and arranged in rows across the sprocket to engage corresponding belt drive surfaces in the belt rows. The belt is wrapped around the sprockets on the drive shaft. The engagement of the sprocket drive surfaces with the belt drive surfaces drives the belt. Either the sprocket drive surfaces or the belt drive surfaces, or both, in each row are arranged in an out-of-phase relationship with each other when the conveyor belt is at no load. Once the conveyor belt is operating at load and the shaft twists, the drive surfaces assume an in-phase relationship for improved belt driving and tracking.

Compensation for shaft twist in the drive system of modular conveyor belts

A platform-top modular radius belt capable of conveying articles along a conveying path that includes straight and curved segments. The belt is constructed of a series of rows of belt modules hingedly interconnected by hinge pins received in aligned apertures formed in interleaved hinge elements of adjacent belt rows. A product support platform is attached to intermediate belt module structure to form a generally continuous article-conveying surface. An overhang forms an extension of the conveying surface and extends over hinge elements along one end of the row to form a gap between the overhang and the hinge elements. An edge portion of the product support platform extends from and is recessed below the level of the conveying surface. The recessed edge of a belt row is received in the gap of an adjacent row below the overlying overhang without interference to allow the inside edge of the modular platform-top belt to collapse at the inside of a turn.

Platform-top radius belt and modules

A conveyor drive apparatus comprising a shaft having sprockets mounted thereon for rotation with the shafts. A conveyor belt is engaged by the sprockets. A key includes a body shaped to fit loosely in a groove along the length of the outer surface of the shaft. The key further includes a force-applying member disposed on the body for applying a force against the shaft and pressing the body against the sprocket to lock it in position on the shaft. The sprocket can further have a slot through its central bore wall in which part of the key can reside to rotate the drive member with the shaft.
