In methods and devices configured to perform the methods for managing downlink traffic reception and cross-link interference (CLI), a wireless device may receive from a base station physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) traffic using a first receive (Rx) resource tuning of an Rx resource, determine whether a time period between an end of the PDCCH traffic and a beginning of a CLI measurement opportunity exceeds a threshold duration for tuning the Rx resource to a second Rx resource tuning, and may receive downlink traffic using the first Rx resource tuning in response to determining that the time period between the end of the PDCCH traffic and the beginning of the CLI measurement opportunity is less than or equal to the threshold duration.

Managing downlink traffic reception and cross-link interference

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, a configuration indicating an interference reciprocity between the first UE and a second UE, where the interference reciprocity is associated with cross link interference (CLI) between the first UE and the second UE. The first UE may also receive, from the base station, an indication of a transmit power of the second UE. The first UE may measure a pathloss associated with the CLI between the first UE and the second UE based at least in part on the received transmit power of the second UE. The first UE may determine a transmit power for transmission of one or more uplink messages based at least in part on the measured pathloss and transmit the uplink messaged using the determined transmit power.

An example method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes transmitting an indication based on a UE capability to simultaneously receive downlink data from a serving cell on one or more first resources and measure one or more CSI-RSs from a target cell on one or more second resources. The one or more first resources at least partially overlap the one or more second resources in a time domain and a frequency domain. Generally, the described techniques provide for measuring, filtering, and reporting cross-link interference (CLI) in cases where not all aggressor user equipments (UEs) are transmitting signals that can be measured by a victim UE. A UE may obtain a set of CLI measurements by performing CLI measurements during a set of CLI measurement occasions. The UE may determine a first subset of the set of CLI measurements that satisfy a CLI measurement threshold and a second subset of the set of CLI measurements that do not satisfy the CLI measurement threshold. The UE may apply a filter to the first subset of the set of CLI measurements, and suppress the filter for the second subset of the set of CLI measurements, to obtain a filtered CLI measurement value. The UE may transmit the filtered CLI measurement value to a base station.

Handling of absence of interference for cross-link interference measurement

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, control signaling including an indication of a first measurement gap configuration associated with a first bandwidth part (BWP) and associated with measurements for communications at the UE over a frequency outside of the first BWP in a frequency domain. The UE may receive, from the base station, a downlink message including an indication of the first BWP. The UE may then communicate with the base station during a first time interval based on the indication of the first measurement gap configuration and the indication of the first BWP.

For example, a user equipment (UE) device within a wireless communication system may select a desired number of antenna elements for receiving a communication from another device based on a channel quality determination. The UE receives a first signal from a transmitting device using a first beam. The UE determines a channel quality metric and compares the channel quality metric with a channel quality threshold. The UE adjusts a number of antenna elements used for beamformed wireless communication between the transmitting device and the UE based on the comparison between the channel quality metric and the channel quality threshold. Based on this adjustment, the UE receives a second signal from the transmitting device using a second beam that has a different number of antenna elements than the first beam.
