A lighting device is disclosed that comprises a glass tube (); a solid state lighting assembly in said glass tube, said assembly comprising an electrically insulating optical film () comprising at least one arcuate portion lining a part () of the inner surface of the glass tube, wherein the glass tube further comprises a further part () defining a light exit portion; and a plurality of solid state lighting elements () on a carrier (), said carrier contacting said optical film; a thermally conductive member () in between at least a part of the solid state lighting assembly and the glass tube for thermally coupling the solid state lighting elements to the glass tube; and a transparent or translucent electrically insulating cover () contacting the electrically insulating optical film and covering the solid state lighting elements. A luminaire including such a lighting device and a lighting device assembly method are also disclosed.

Lighting device, luminaire and lighting device assembly method

A lighting device including a glass tube; a solid state lighting assembly in said glass tube, said assembly having an electrically insulating optical film having at least one arcuate portion lining a part of the inner surface of the glass tube, wherein the glass tube further has a further part defining a light exit portion; and a plurality of solid state lighting elements on a carrier, said carrier contacting said optical film; a thermally conductive member in between at least a part of the solid state lighting assembly and the glass tube for thermally coupling the solid state lighting elements to the glass tube; and a transparent or translucent electrically insulating cover contacting the electrically insulating optical film and covering the solid state lighting elements. A luminaire including such a lighting device and a lighting device assembly method are also disclosed.

A lighting system has a set of linear lighting elements and a set of suspension elements. Each suspension element comprises an upper fixing part and a lower connection part facing downwardly for making electrical and mechanical connection to an upward facing connector on a top face of an end of a linear lighting element. This enables a simple a push fit connection of the lighting elements to the suspension elements, after they have been suspended from a support structure above them.

A luminaire () is disclosed comprising at least one optical chamber () delimited by a light exit window () and a curved reflective surface () extending from the light exit window to a mounting surface () extending from the curved reflective surface towards the light exit window. Each optical chamber comprises a light source () mounted on the mounting surface; and a light guide () extending across part of the optical chamber. The light guide comprises a total internal reflection major surface () facing the light exit window; a further major surface () facing the curved reflective surface, said further major surface comprising a light outcoupling portion () comprising a plurality of light outcoupling structures (); a first edge surface () optically coupled to the light source; and a further edge surface () opposite the first edge surface arranged to direct light towards the curved reflective surface.
