An internal combustion engine system including a cylinder block, a cylinder head attached to the cylinder block, an EGR cooler, and a coolant collector bracket is provided. The cylinder head includes a plurality of coolant passages. The coolant collector bracket is coupled to and between the cylinder head and the EGR cooler. The coolant collector bracket includes a plurality of coolant inlets directly coupled to a plurality of outlets of the plurality of coolant passages of the cylinder head. The coolant collector bracket also includes an EGR coolant outlet directly coupled to an inlet of the EGR cooler. The coolant collector bracket also includes an EGR cooler inlet directly coupled to an outlet of the EGR cooler.

A spacer for an engine is disclosed. The spacer comprises a hollow body having an inner surface, a pathway formed along a perimeter on the inner surface, an adapter disposed on the pathway, and a slot formed through the hollow body on the pathway.

Valvetrain spacer

Operating an engine includes opening and closing exhaust valves in an engine braking timing pattern, charging a first cylinder with air fed directly from an intake manifold, and releasing the directly fed air in a first braking event. Operating the engine further includes charging the first cylinder with air fed via a flow-through path through a second cylinder operating as an air conduit, and releasing the air fed through the flow-through path and pressurized to brake the engine in a second braking event. A spacer for a valvetrain in an engine system includes a spacer body defining a spacer axis extending between a first axial spacer body end and a second axial spacer body end, and including an outer peripheral surface, a circumferentially extending inner peripheral surface forming a through-bore, an oil spray port extending from the inner peripheral surface to the outer peripheral surface, and a circumferentially extending fluid groove formed in the inner peripheral surface and extending to the oil spray port. A spacer for a valvetrain in an engine system includes a spacer body defining a spacer axis and including a through-bore extending from a first axial end to a second axial end, an outer arcuate surface, and an inner arcuate surface having an oil feed inlet. The spacer further includes an orientation element extending from the spacer body and defining an orientation axis transverse to the spacer axis, and including an inner orientation surface and an outer orientation surface. The spacer further includes an oil application structure defining a structure axis oriented transverse to both the spacer axis and the orientation axis, and including a plurality of oil spray channels, each respective one of the plurality of oil spray channels including an oil outlet at a termination point and being fluidly connected to the oil feed inlet.
