A multi-position device holder is provided for holding one or more mobile devices in a vehicle interior in a center console/console assembly. The multi-position device holder may accommodate one or more mobile devices used/placed on the multi-position device holder in various orientations. A platform of the multi-position device holder provides multiple angular orientations of one or more mobile devices, to accommodate different charging mechanisms (wireless and corded), as well as provide increased stability/retention of one or more mobile devices.

Front console multi-position device holder

A first part having an attachment having an elongated body configured to release from a second attachment of a second part under a desired force, and a method of manufacturing the same is provided. The first attachment includes a generally elongated body extending outwardly from the first wall with respect to the first support surface, the first wall further including at least one indent, the at least one indent formed on the first wall and open to a peripheral side edge of the elongated body, the indent extending into the wall a predetermined depth so as to provide the elongated body with a predetermined resiliency.

Two piece housing assembly with elongated attachment and method for making the same

The present invention is a garnish that is specially designed to cover the hinge arm connecting a vehicle truck lid to the vehicle. The cover includes an inside surface, a first end and a second end. The cover further includes a rib and a flange portion. The rib is located along the inside surface of the cover at the first end. Opposite the rib, the flange portion extends generally orthogonally from the first end of the cover. The rib and flange portion help to secure the garnish and increase its effectiveness at covering other components of the vehicle.

Hinge arm fitting feature

A tool for determining if a two piece grommet is properly installed is provided. The tool includes a housing having a button. The button is movable from an up position to a down position. In the up position, indicia is displayed indicating that the grommet is not properly installed. In the down position, indicia is displayed indicating that the grommet is properly installed. The tool further includes a cup gauge and a stroke pin assembly. The cup gauge is dimensioned to fittingly engage the cup. The stroke pin assembly includes a stroke pin and a movable support. The button rests the movable support. The actuation of a stroke pin displaces the movable part away from the button, allowing the button to fall to the down position.

Tool for use with a two piece grommet

A housing assembly is provided. The housing assembly may be used in an automotive vehicle. The housing assembly includes a trim piece and a base. The trim piece is configured to engage the interior trim panel and attach to the base. The base is attached to the trim piece wherein the attachment to the trim piece is weaker than the attachment of the trim piece to the interior panel so as to allow the trim piece to separate from the base before the trim piece separates from the interior trim panel. The housing assembly may further include a pair of spacers configured to maintain a spatial relationship between a first side wall and a second side wall so as to prevent the first and second side walls from squeezing inwardly with respect to each other when the trim piece is displaced from the base.

Housing assembly for a vehicle door handle

A cup holder assembly having a storage compartment adapted to receive a beverage container is provided. The storage compartment includes a recessed portion, and a top ring having a bottom planar surface is mounted onto the recessed portion. The recessed portion further includes a radiused inner edge exposed to the space of the storage compartment. A light source is mounted along the radiused inner edge. Light from the light source is reflected from the planar surface onto the radiused inner edge. A light shield extends beneath the bottom planar surface of the top ring so as to shield the light source from view of the passengers and driver of the vehicle yet allow light to pass from the light source onto the radiused inner edge of the cup holder assembly.

Lighted cup holder assembly

A slidable tray assembly that covers and uncovers a compartment and has an anti-jamming feature. The slidable tray assembly can include a console with a compartment and a panel that can slide and extend over the compartment when in a closed position. The panel can be attached to the console and be operable to slide between the closed position and an open position. In addition, the panel can have a plurality of spaced-apart protrusions extending therefrom and the plurality of spaced-apart protrusions prevent an object from becoming jammed or located between the panel and the console and thus prevent jamming of sliding movement of the panel.

A multi-position rotary detent assembly operable to selectively retain a first component and a second component in a first position, a second position, and at least one intermediate position is provided. The detent assembly includes a first biasing assembly urging the first component into the first position. A cam plate is disposed opposite a guide pin assembly and has a cam path having a first detent feature and at least one intermediate detent feature. The guide pin is configured to engage the cam plate and is movable along the cam path. The first component is in the first position when the guide pin engages the first detent feature, is placed in an intermediate position when the guide pin engages a corresponding intermediate detent feature, and is urged into in the second position when disengaged from the cam path.

Multi-position rotary detent assembly

Embodiments of a vehicle electronic device support system comprise a vehicle console and an electronic device holder disposed anterior to the vehicle console, wherein the vehicle console comprises a vehicle console bin comprising an auxiliary port, and the electronic device holder is configured to secure an electronic device. The electronic device holder comprises an opening at the bottom of the electronic device holder which extends into the vehicle console bin, which is configured to pass a cord of an electronic device through the opening of the electronic device holder into the vehicle console bin for connection with the auxiliary port.

Vehicle electronic device support systems

A device is provided for securing a seat back to a vehicle. The device includes a base that is mounted on the floor of the vehicle. The base includes a spool that can be partitioned to create separate areas upon which the seat backs can be mounted. The device also includes a first hinge that is mounted on the outer side of the seat back. The first hinge can include a pin that is comprised of two portions. The first portion of the pin extends normal to the seat back, and the second portion of the pin extends at an angle therefrom. The device further includes a second hinge that is mounted on the inner side of the seat back. The second hinge includes a slot that is configured to cooperate with the spool of the base mounted on the floor to attach the seat back to the vehicle.
