Neurovascular flow diverter and delivery systems, and methods of using the same are described herein. The systems can include a customizing member including an introducer sheath, a catheter, a deployable flow diverter that can be contained in the introducer sheath or in the catheter, a core wire, and one or several deployment features coupled to the core wire and engaging the flow diverter. The customizing member includes a tubing extending along and around a distal portion of the introducer sheath. This tubing is cuttable and contains a distal end of the flow diverter. The length of the flow diverter can be customized by cutting through the tubing and the therein contained flow diverter.

Systems and methods for customizable flow diverter implants

Neurovascular flow diverter and delivery systems, and methods of using the same are disclosed herein. The systems can include an introducer sheath, a catheter, a deployable flow diverter that can be contained in the introducer sheath or in the catheter, a core wire, and one or several deployment features coupled to the core wire and engaging the flow diverter. The deployment features can include one or more of a pusher, one or several friction bumps, one or several deployment coils, a claw mechanism, a self-expanding element, a supporting coil, a tip coil, and/or an atraumatic tip. One or more of the deployment features can be radiopaque.

Neurovascular flow diverter and delivery systems

Described herein are flexible implantable occluding devices that can, for example, navigate the tortuous vessels of the neurovasculature. The occluding devices can also conform to the shape of the tortuous vessels of the vasculature. In some embodiments, the occluding devices can direct blood flow within a vessel away from an aneurysm or limit blood flow to the aneurysm. Some embodiments describe methods and apparatus for adjusting, along a length of the device, the porosity of the occluding device. In some embodiments, the occluding devices allows adequate blood flow to be provided to adjacent structures such that those structures, whether they are branch vessels or oxygen-demanding tissues, are not deprived of the necessary blood flow.

Methods and apparatus for luminal stenting

A catheter or shaft, such as a distal access support or aspiration catheter, is provided that is configured to be advanced at least partially within a patient. The catheter or shaft may include a flexible and hollow shaft including a proximal end and a distal end. The flexible and hollow shaft may include a slotted portion with a plurality of slotted openings, the slotted portion including a first segment with a first pattern of slotted openings and a second segment extending proximally relative the first segment with a second pattern of slotted openings different from the first pattern.

Neurovascular distal access support catheters, aspiration catheters, or device shafts

A vascular occluding device for modifying blood flow in a vessel, while maintaining blood flow to the surrounding tissue. The occluding device includes a flexible, easily compressible and bendable occluding device that is particularly suited for treating aneurysms in the brain. The neurovascular occluding device can be deployed using a micro-catheter. The occluding device can be formed by braiding wires in a helical fashion and can have varying lattice densities along the length of the occluding device. The occluding device could also have different lattice densities for surfaces on the same radial plane.

Flexible vascular occluding device

The invention relates generally to methods and systems for capturing, filtering, or retrieving obstructions or other particulates from a patient's vasculature. In one aspect, device for retrieving an obstruction from a patient is provided that includes an outer delivery shaft and an expandable basket movable between a collapsed configuration and an expanded configuration. The basket is configured to be in the collapsed configuration during delivery and in the expanded configuration during engagement and retrieval of the obstruction. A proximal end of the basket is configured to be centrally and pivotally coupled to the outer delivery shaft. The proximal end and/or a distal end of the basket is movable relative to each other such that a proximal portion of the expandable basket is invertible toward a distal portion of the basket to form a proximally oriented cavity in the expanded configuration to engage and retrieve the obstruction.

Vascular stenting for aneurysms

A vascular remodeling device has a plurality of sections, sized for deployment in a blood vessel, that is radially expandable from a collapsed state to an expanded state. Each section has a plurality of interconnected struts that define a waist, a proximal face, and a distal face. Each face comprises (i) a plurality of distal strut portions extending proximally from a distal side of the face, (ii) a plurality of proximal strut portions extending distally from a proximal side of the face, and (iii) a plurality of sub-struts, wherein, from each proximal strut portion, two of the sub-struts each extend to a different one of the distal strut portions.

Vascular remodeling device

A method of reducing blood flow within an aneurysm includes: injecting a contrast agent into a blood vessel including an aneurysm; expanding a stent, from a delivery device, across the aneurysm; and confirming that a stagnated area forms in the aneurysm. The stagnated area can form a crescent shape, a mushroom shape, a hemispherical shape, and/or a flat side. Upon confirming that the stagnated area forms in the aneurysm, the delivery device can be withdrawn from the blood vessel. The stagnated area can include the contrast agent. If the stagnated area does not form in the aneurysm, a second occluding device may be deployed. After withdrawing the delivery device, substantially all of the aneurysm progressively thromboses.

Procedures for vascular occlusion

A vascular remodeling device is provided. The device has an anchor portion, sized for deployment in a blood vessel, that is radially expandable from a collapsed state to an expanded state. The device also includes a distal portion sized for deployment in a blood vessel. The distal portion is radially expandable from a collapsed state to an expanded state and has a distal face that is sufficiently occlusive in the distal-to-proximal direction to perform a therapeutic blocking function in an aneurysm neck. The device also has an intermediate portion that interconnects a distal end of the anchor portion and a proximal end of the distal portion. In some embodiments, the anchor portion and/or distal portion has a plurality of interconnected struts.
