A method for monitoring an energy supply in a motor vehicle. At least one energy reservoir supplies energy to several preferably safety-relevant loads in a partial vehicle electrical system. At least one measured variable of an energy reservoir and/or of at least one load is detected. At least one wiring harness model is provided which models the partial vehicle electrical system. A parameter estimator is provided which assesses at least one characterizing variable of the wiring harness model using the measured variable.

Method for monitoring a power supply in a motor vehicle with wiring harness model

A method for monitoring an electrical system of a motor vehicle. A safety-related electrical consumer and possibly further electrical consumers are supplied by an energy accumulator. At least one model of the vehicle electrical system is provided which represents the safety-related electrical consumer and corresponding lines with associated line resistances and connection to the energy accumulator. The method includes: providing a current or power profile that will likely be necessary for at least for one specific maneuver of the motor vehicle involving the safety-related electrical consumer; determining a predicted characteristic quantity of the energy accumulator utilizing the current or power profile; determining a predicted characteristic quantity of the safety-related electrical consumer utilizing a current profile or power profile expected to be applied to the safety-related electrical consumer, the associated line resistance and the predicted characteristic quantity of the energy accumulator; evaluating the predicted characteristic quantity of the safety-related electrical consumer.

Method for monitoring an electrical system of a motor vehicle

A method for synchronizing signals of a plurality of participants. A relationship between the signals is given by a physical relation. The signals are each filtered with a first filter in order to determine a shift between the signals. The determined shift is a measure of the phase shift between the signals. The shift is subsequently eliminated by filtering the signals respectively with a second filter.

A method for determining an electrical variable of a component of part of a vehicle electrical system including at least one external current and an electrical impedance unit. A measuring unit is configured to generate a plurality of current and voltage values for each of at least two different operating points of the impedance unit. The method includes: providing the current values of the impedance unit at a first operating point and at least one second operating point; providing the voltage values of the impedance unit at a first operating point and at least one second operating point; corresponding current and voltage values being associated with one another; determining the at least one electrical variable of the component based on a parameter estimation method and an electrical model of the part of the vehicle electrical system and at least part of the corresponding current and voltage values.
