A magnetic tunneling junction (MTJ) device structure and the method of constructing such device are disclosed. Also disclosed are methods of using the device for spin-dependent transport characterization through biomolecules for structure and dynamic function analysis in physiological environments.

Disclosed are systems and methods for delivering and/or linking molecules, such as DNA, between tunable metal nanogaps and measuring electrical and/or optical properties. In one example, disclosed are high density multiplexed chips with a plurality of groups, each group including a plurality of nanodevices, the chips capable of coupling to one or more multiwell structures for providing samples to each individual group. In this way, the chips can be used for high-throughput analysis of molecules such as DNA.

Apparatus and methods for synthesizing biopolymers

The present disclosure provides chips, devices and methods for sequencing a biomolecule. The biomolecule may be DNA, RNA. a protein, or a peptide. The chip comprises a substrate; a first and second fluid chamber; fluid channels connecting the first and second fluid chamber; a first and second electrode disposed on opposing sides of the central fluid channel and having a nanogap therebetween, wherein the width of the nanogap is modulated by confined electrochemical deposition; and a passivation layer disposed on top of the first and second electrodes and the fluid channel.

Nanopore devices for sensing biomolecules

A method for activating a cell-signaling pathway of interest in a cell, including applying a time-modulated localized alternating current electrical field to the cell, wherein the amplitude and frequency of the localized alternating current electrical field is selected to activate the cell signaling pathway of interest, thereby activating the cell signaling pathway.
