A duplex optical connector includes a holder, a pair of optical connectors rotatably disposed in the holder, a cable boot slidably attached to the holder, and a clip removably attached to the holder. The clip functions to maintain a lateral position of the optical connectors relative to the holder and transfer applied force on the pull boot into actuating force on the connector latches. Connector openings formed in the holder are elongated in the lateral direction to provide separate use and polarity reversal connector positions, wherein the connectors non-rotatably engage the holder in their use position and rotatably engage the holder in their polarity reversal position.

A multi-fiber push-on/pull-off (MPO) connector and an MPO connector tool configured to facilitate insertion and removal into and from an MPO adapter. The MPO connector includes a ferrule, an inner housing holding the ferrule, an outer housing slidably coupled to the inner housing, and a clip coupled to one end of the outer housing and including a main body, a pair of longitudinally extending latch arms for engaging the outer housing, and a pair of laterally extending posts extending from the main body. In use, the MPO connector tool is positionable to apply a force on the laterally extending posts to translate the clip thereby translating the outer housing longitudinally to facilitate connector insertion and removal.

The present disclosure provides assemblies for supporting optical fiber connections. In embodiments, an optical fiber box includes a main body and a cover defining an installation cavity. A separator and a plurality of spacers are arranged in the main body and divide the installation cavity into first and second cavities and a plurality of installation channels for receiving optical fiber connectors of a type including a sleeve. Installation holes arranged at intervals along the length of the separator receive the sleeves. The plurality of installation channels and the plurality of installation holes are arranged in one-to-one correspondence. The optical fiber box optionally includes a shutter assembly at the entrance to each installation channel. In embodiments, at least the main body, the separator, and the plurality of spacers are integrally formed to provide a connection solution that does not require separate optical fiber adapters.

A grinder for grinding an end face of a fiber includes a housing, a fiber fixing module, a base, a transmission shaft, and a grinding pad. The housing includes an annular rack wheel with an internal engaging teeth. The fiber fixing module is positioned on a top of the housing. The base is positioned at a bottom of the housing and includes an eccentric connection portion. An end of the transmission shaft is connected to the connection portion. The transmission shaft is sleeved with an annular pinion having external engaging teeth engaging with the internal engaging teeth. The grinding pad is connected to another end of the transmission shaft and revolves around the rotation axis of the base and rotates around its own rotation axis together with the transmission shaft and matches an end face of a to-be-ground fiber penetrating the fiber fixing module.

Disclosed are a snap-fit structure and an optical fiber splicer using the snap-fit structure. The snap-fit structure comprises a cable retainer and a base, the base being provided with a snap-fit hole, the cable retainer being provided with an ear clip, during assembling, the clip being fitted into the snap-fit hole, wherein a second outer lateral surface is arranged in a rising direction of the ear clip, the second outer lateral surface in the rising direction of the ear clip and a wall surface of the cable retainer forming a wedge smaller at the top and larger at the bottom.

An optical fiber plug for high density optical fiber connections is proposed for matching with an optical fiber adapter, and includes a body with an elastic buckling member () to buckle the adapter, and an ejecting assembly actuated at the same time when the buckling member () is actuated to release the body from the adapter. The ejecting assembly includes an ejecting spring () and an ejecting rod () arranged in the body. The ejecting rod () is ejected from the body when the ejecting assembly is actuated, and stopped on the adapter to eject the body out of the adapter. The optical fiber plug can be automatically ejected out of the adapter when the buckling member () of the plug is actuated, thus solving the problem of operational difficulties caused by reducing the geometric size of the plug, and realizing high density optical fiber connections with optical fiber jumpers.

Disclosed are an optical fiber connector an assembly method therefor. The connector is used for matching with an optical fiber adapter, and comprises a connector casing, a ceramic ferrule (), a spring () and a boot (), wherein the connector casing has a lateral width of 2.5 mm to 4.5 mm, is formed by inserting and locking a front casing () and a rear casing () and forms a cavity; the tail of the connector casing is connected to the boot (), the external front end of the connector casing contains a guiding block () and a combined elastic arm successively in the rearward direction, and a retaining convex block () is arranged on the combined elastic arm; the tail end of the ceramic ferrule () is fixed to a tailstock () of the ceramic ferrule and penetrates through a through hole at the front end of the connector casing; and the spring is compressed between the tailstock () of the ceramic ferrule and a stop block () formed by the inner walls of the connector casing. The connector greatly reduces the overall dimensions of the connector, and increase the installation density of the connector.
