An example apparatus includes a comparator to compare a value of a counter to a threshold value, the threshold value associated with an amount of time to defer provision of a first or second input signal to a corresponding first or second IP device, respectively, signal deferring circuitry to defer provision of the first or second input signals to a corresponding one of the first or second IP devices based on an output of the comparator, deferral of the first or second input signals to cause alignment of first and second processing events performed by the first and second IP devices, respectively, and power controlling circuitry to cause the first and second IP devices to power down based on completion of the first and second processing events.

Methods and apparatus to align media workloads

An apparatus is provided which comprises: a first circuitry to provide an estimate of a distance of a user from the apparatus; and a second circuitry to select a display resolution for displaying on a display panel of the apparatus, based at least in part on the estimate of the distance of the user from the apparatus.

Method and apparatus for efficient range-based memory write back is described herein. One embodiment of an apparatus includes a system memory, a plurality of hardware processor cores each of which includes a first cache, a decoder circuitry to decode an instruction having fields for a first memory address and a range indicator, and an execution circuitry to execute the decoded instruction. Together, the first memory address and the range indicator define a contiguous region in the system memory that includes one or more cache lines. An execution of the decoded instruction causes any instances of the one or more cache lines in the first cache to be invalidated. Additionally, any invalidated instances of the one or more cache lines that are dirty are to be stored to system memory.

Efficient range-based memory writeback to improve host to device communication for optimal power and performance

Technologies for adaptive real-time media streaming include a computing device to determine, by a trusted execution environment of the computing device, a current workload of the computing device based on at least one activity counter. The at least one activity counter is to record counter data associated with performance of the computing device. Further, the computing device determines a residual workload capable of being supported by the computing device based on the determined current workload and a new content playback characteristics for streaming media content based on the determined residual workload. The computing device streams media content received from a trusted server based on the determined new content playback characteristics.

Technologies for adaptive real-time media streaming

In one embodiment the present invention includes receiving an alpha component of a graphics signal, receiving a primary video signal, and receiving a secondary video signal. A portion of the alpha component is extracted and applied to the extracted portion to render the secondary video signal over the primary video signal.

A method and apparatus for scaling is provided. The method comprises enabling a user to identify at least a portion of an image on a display device. The method comprises enabling scaling of an electronic representation of the portion of the image using an overlay engine. The apparatus comprises a controller and a video overlay engine that is coupled to the controller. The controller is provided to receive user selected information associated with at least a portion of an image on a display device. The video overly engine is provided to scale an electronic representation of the portion of the image using a video overlay engine.
