A pressing device includes a screw body. The screw body includes a screw head that comprises a driver interface. The screw body also includes a screw shaft that comprises a screw tip opposite the screw head with respect to the screw shaft, exterior spiral threads between the screw head and screw tip, and an interior cavity with an opening at the screw tip. The pressing device also includes a pin partially inserted into the interior cavity. The pin comprises a first pin end inserted into the interior cavity, a pin shaft that is connected to the first pin end, and a second pin end that is connected to the pin shaft and that is exterior to the interior cavity. Applying a force to the second pin end in a direction towards the screw head causes the pin shaft to advance into to interior cavity.

Configurable printed-circuit-board-assembly component pressing fixture

A computer-readable code array comprises a first three-dimensional module and second three-dimensional module. The first three-dimensional module comprises a first face and a second face. A state of the first face encodes a pixel of a first computer-readable code. A state of the second face encodes a pixel of a second computer-readable code. The second three-dimensional module comprises a third face and a fourth face. A state of the third face encodes a second pixel of the first computer-readable code. A state of the second face encodes a second pixel of the second computer-readable code.

Composite matrix code array

A method of manufacturing a press-fit apparatus suitable for press-fitting multiple connectors to a circuit board is provided. A machine press head that is movable by a power supplier of the press-fit apparatus is provided. A universal press block is fixed to the machine press head to allow the universal press block to be movable with the machine press head. A locating block is fixed to the bottom plate of the universal press block, by inserting a locating fastener of the locating block into a locating hole. A press block is fixed to the locating block at a predetermined position suitable for press-fitting one of the connectors.

Manufacturing a press-fit apparatus

Provided is a mold carrier. The mold carrier comprises a mold bearing chassis, a pressure bearing plate, and a tie bar. The mold bearing chassis includes a plurality of molds disposed therein. Each mold has one or more mold cavities. The pressure bearing plate is configured to physically couple to the mold bearing chassis during an injection molding process. The tie bar runs through the center of the mold bearing chassis and the pressure bearing plate. The mold bearing chassis is configured to allow components to be removed from their molds without separating the mold bearing chassis from the pressure bearing plate.

Mold carrier for injection molding

An electrical socket includes a magnet connected to a shield. The shield blocks access to receptacles of the socket when the magnet is at a rest position but moves away and allows access to the receptacles when the magnet is moved away from its rest position. The magnet is attached to a spring so that the spring pulls the magnet toward the rest position. A plug includes a plug magnet to attract the socket's magnet. When the plug is brought close to the socket, the socket magnet is pulled away from the rest position, moving the shield away and allowing the plug to be inserted.

Magnetic power connection

A compliant pin pre-screening, guiding and quality monitoring apparatus is provided. The compliant pin pre-screening, guiding and quality monitoring apparatus includes a fixed plate, a movable plate, a printed circuit board (PCB) and a press-fit connector. The fixed plate defines a through-hole and is disposable above a working table. The movable plate is disposable to be urged by a bias against a first surface of the fixed plate facing the working table and includes pin extendable through the through-hole. The PCB defines a via and is disposable on a second surface of the fixed plate opposite the first surface whereby the pin is extendable through the via with the via corresponding in position to the through-hole and the pin. The press-fit connector is disposable to be secured in position proximate to the PCB and to be inserted into the via with guidance provided by the pin against the bias.

Pre-screening, compliant pin guiding and quality monitoring press-fit apparatus

An apparatus and method for press-fitting a connector to a circuit board is provided. The apparatus has a universal press block fixedly connected to a machine press head. A bottom plate of the universal press block has multiple locating holes. A locating block is fixedly connected to the bottom plate. A press block is fixedly connected to the locating block at a predetermined position suitable for press-fitting the connector. The press block has a press block head, a press block body and a sensor provided between the head and the body. The press block head is movable to contact the connector to apply a pressing force to the connector. The sensor detects the pressing force and generates a signal indicative of the pressing force. The press block body receives the signal from the sensor and controls the movement of the press block head based on the signal.

Press-fit apparatus for connectors

In an approach to creating a press-fit force analysis, one or more computer processors retrieve a force press-fit data from a press-fit machine based on a press cycle. One or more computer processors calculate a deformation force of the press cycle based on the press-fit data and storing the deformation force. One or more computer processors create a predictive control model based on the deformation force and determine if a corrective action is required based on at least one of a raw material quality data, machine setting data, a completed lot quality data or the predictive control model. One or more computer processors determine if a corrective action is required and alert a downstream process to take the corrective action. One or more computer processors schedule a material kitting.

Cognitive press-fit force analyzer and monitoring system

A first electrostatic discharge measurement is received from a first sensor. The first sensor utilizes a wireless network to send the first measurement from a first stage of the assembly line of electronic components susceptible to electrostatic discharge damage. A second electrostatic discharge measurement is received from a second sensor. The second sensor utilizes the wireless network to send the second measurement from a second stage of the assembly line. An electrostatic discharge history is updated for the first assembly stage based on the first electrostatic discharge measurement. The electrostatic discharge history is updated for the second assembly stage based on the second electrostatic discharge measurement. A potential electrostatic danger condition is determined based on the electrostatic discharge history.

Networked electrostatic discharge measurement

A power adapter is provided for a computer including a power port and a housing defining an aperture. The power adapter includes a power head, a lock head disposed on the power head and a main housing including a body affixed to a security element, wiring for supplying power to the computer extending through the body to the power head and a lock system selectively actuatable with a key to orient the lock head in first and second orientations. The first orientation is characterized in that the power head is movable relative to the aperture for power head insertion into and removal from the power port. The second orientation is characterized in that the power head is immovable relative to the aperture.
