A device for optical-field displaying includes: a display screen and a lens unit provided on a light exiting side of the display screen; the lens unit includes a plurality of lenses arranged in an array; the display screen is provided on a focal plane of the plurality of lenses; the display screen includes a first substrate and a second substrate that match; the first substrate is a light-exiting-side substrate, the second substrate includes a plurality of pixel islands arranged in an array; the plurality of pixel islands correspond to the plurality of lenses; a view region formed by light rays emitted by the sub-pixels of the pixel islands and propagated via the corresponding lenses to a human eye is smaller than or equal to a half-pupil region, and light rays of different viewpoints emitted by different sub-pixels of the pixel islands enter different cone cells via the lenses.

Light field display apparatus

A display substrate and a display device are provided. The display substrate includes a backplane including a plurality of pixel regions; and light emitting units arranged in one-to-one correspondence with the plurality of pixel regions. Each light emitting unit includes light emitting sub-units arranged in a plurality of rows and a plurality of columns, each row of light emitting sub-units includes a plurality of light emitting sub-units arranged along a row direction, each column of light emitting sub-units includes one light emitting sub-unit, and orthographic projections of light emitting regions of two adjacent columns of light emitting sub-units on a first straight line extending along a column direction are not overlapped; and in each light emitting unit, there is no gap between orthographic projections of the light emitting regions of the two adjacent columns of light emitting sub-units on a second straight line extending along the row direction.

Light field display method and system, storage medium and display panel

A display panel includes: a first substrate and a second substrate; and a liquid crystal layer. The first substrate includes a first base, and a light extraction portion and a light conversion portion that are disposed on a first side and located in each sub-pixel region. The first base has the first side facing the second substrate. A refractive index of the light extraction portion is greater than or equal to a refractive index of the first base, and a refractive index of a portion of the light conversion portion in direct contact with the first base is less than the refractive index of the first base. The second substrate includes a second base, and at least one light reflecting structure and at least one light absorbing structure that are disposed at a side of the second base facing the first substrate and located in the sub-pixel region.

Display panel, display device and method of driving the same

The present disclosure provides a display device including a liquid crystal layer having a first surface and a second surface opposite to each other, and the second surface has a light entrance region and a light outgoing region; a reflector within the liquid crystal layer and adjacent the first surface; a light absorbing layer on the first surface of the liquid crystal layer, the light absorbing layer including a first shielding layer, a second shielding layer and a filling layer therebetween, the second shielding layer is between the first shielding layer and the liquid crystal layer and has a first opening therein, and the liquid crystal layer is configured to modulate light incident from the light entrance region into first refracted light under a first voltage; and modulate the light incident from the light entrance region into second refracted light under a second voltage different from the first voltage.

Display device

A display panel includes a light guide plate, a substrate, a reflector and a liquid crystal layer. A refractive index of the liquid crystal layer can vary between a minimum liquid crystal refractive index and a maximum liquid crystal refractive index. One side, facing the substrate, of the light guide plate includes a light entry region, light at least partially enters the liquid crystal layer through the light entry region and is propagated towards the reflector. The maximum liquid crystal refractive index is greater than a refractive index of the reflector, and the minimum reflective index is not greater than the refractive index of the reflector. When the refractive index of the liquid crystal layer is greater than the reflective index of the reflector, the reflector reflects at least a part of light entering the liquid crystal layer from the light entry region to the light guide plate.

Display panel and display device

A light collimation device, a backlight module and a display panel are provided. The light collimation device includes a lampshade and a light guiding part, wherein the lampshade includes a plurality of curved reflecting parts, a first total reflecting part and a second total reflecting part. The curved reflecting part is configured to reflect part of light from a light source arranged at a focal point of curved reflecting part to the first total reflecting part. The first total reflecting part is configured to reflect part of incident light to the second total reflecting part and directly direct another part of light to the light guiding part. The second total reflecting part is configured to reflect incident light to the light guiding part. The light guiding part is configured to cause incident light to propagate in a total reflection.

The display device comprises: an array substrate, an opposite substrate and a liquid crystal layer; the display device includes sub-pixel areas including a shading area and a light-transmitting area; the sub-pixel area includes an electrode structure and a first shading part, and the electrode structure includes: first electrodes, second electrodes and third electrodes; the first electrodes are divided into first type electrodes and second type electrodes; the electrode structure is configured to: apply the same voltage to the first type electrode, the second electrode and the third electrode, apply different voltages to the first type electrode and the second type electrode to control liquid crystal molecules to form a liquid crystal lens; or apply different voltages to the second electrode and the third electrode to control the liquid crystal molecules to form a liquid crystal grating.
