Systems, methods, and apparatus for medical device management are disclosed. An example tangible computer readable storage medium includes instructions that, when executed, cause a processor to at least launch a first user interface to configure a first user group based on a first role, generate a role mapping in response to configuring the first user group based on the first association, launch a second user interface to configure the first user group based on a first deployment location, generate a location mapping in response to configuring the first user group based on the second association, generate a combined location and role mapping based on the role mapping and the location mapping, and launch a third user interface to facilitate interaction of the first user account with the medical device in response to determining whether the first user account is authorized to access the medical device based on the combined mapping.

A method and system for retry of a packet data call. The method can include the steps of attempting () an IP registration with a mobile unit () to make a packet data call using a first protocol on a network () that employs both the first protocol and a second protocol for packet data calls and detecting () a failure in the IP registration using the first protocol due to a failure in a data link layer of the first protocol. A physical layer of the first protocol is unaffected by the failure in the data link layer of the first protocol such that communications may still be performed over the physical layer. The method can also include the steps of&#x2014;at the mobile unit&#x2014;ceasing () the attempted IP registration using the first protocol on the network and attempting () an IP registration with the mobile unit using the second protocol of the network. As an example, the first protocol can be EVDO, and the second protocol can be 1X.

Method and system for retry of packet data calls

An embodiment generally relates to a method of maximizing network efficiency. The method includes determining a state of a connect attempt from a network and re-transmitting a connect attempt response message to the network in response to the network's connect attempt being in a pending state after an attempt to setup a connection to the network fails.
