Power connector

A card edge connector ( ) includes an insulative housing ( ), a number of electrical contacts ( ), and a pair of latch members ( ). The insulative housing defines a mating face ( ), a slot ( ) in the mating face, a number of passageways ( ) communicating with the slot, and a pair of support arms ( ) extending upwardly from each end thereof. The insulative housing includes a receiving space ( ) defined inwardly from a front surface of the housing and an inner portion ( ) bounded on its sides by the receiving space. Each contact includes a main body ( ) assembled in the rear wall of the housing and a plurality of mating portions ( ). The mating portions are assembled in the housing and partly exposed in the receiving space. The mating portions of the first conductive contact are arranged on an outer circle. The mating portions of the second conductive contact are arranged on an inner circle inside the outer circle.

Power connector having improved contact

A power connector includes an insulative housing, a set of conductive first contacts and a set of conductive second contacts. The insulative housing includes a receiving space defined inwardly from a front surface of the insulative housing and an inner portion extending from a rear wall of the housing and bounded on its sides by the receiving space. The set of conductive first contacts includes first mating contacts and a first soldering contact, the first mating contacts assembled in the inner portion and partly exposed in the receiving space, the first soldering portion assembled into the housing and electrically contacting the first mating contacts. The set of conductive second contacts includes second mating contacts and a second soldering contact, the second mating contacts assembled in the insulative housing and partly exposed in the receiving space, the second soldering contact inserted into the insulative housing and electrically contacting the second mating contacts.

Electrical connector

A power jack ( ) comprises a front housing ( ), a rear housing ( ) assembled on the front housing, a mating contact ( ), a spring contact ( ), a switch contact ( ), a tail contact ( ), and an LED ( ). The mating contact is assembled in both the front housing and the rear housing. The spring contact and the switch contact are assembled in the front housing. The tail contact is riveted on the mating contact. The LED is assembled on the front housing and the rear housing to indicate the working status of the power jack.

A connector assembly ( ) includes an insulative cover ( ), an optical fiber connector ( ), an electrical connector ( ) and a dielectric frame ( ). The cover defines a first receiving cavity ( ) receiving the optical fiber connector therein and a second receiving cavity ( ) receiving the electrical connector. The frame is assembled to the cover and the electrical connector. The optical fiber connector includes a plurality of terminals extending through the frame.
