The present invention provides a lithium ion battery and a negative electrode material thereof. The negative electrode material includes a mixture of a graphite and an amorphous carbon, wherein the graphite is subjected to a surface treatment, and the surface treatment manner is a combination of mechanical fusion modification and spray drying coating, and wherein the graphite has a graphitization degree of 90-96%, an average particle diameter D50 of 13-25 &#x3bc;m and a specific surface area BET of 0.8-2.5 m/g, and the amorphous carbon has a graphitization degree of 65-80%, an average particle diameter D50 of 2-15 &#x3bc;m and a specific surface area BET of 1.0-3.0 m/g.

Lithium ion battery and negative electrode material thereof

The present disclosure provides a lithium-ion battery, and the lithium-ion battery comprises a positive electrode plate, a negative electrode plate, a separator and an electrolyte. The positive active material comprises a material with a chemical formula of LiNiCoMO, the negative active material comprises graphite, the OI value of the positive film represented by OIand the OI value of the negative film represented by OIsatisfy a relationship: 0.05&#x2264;OI/OI&#x2264;10. By reasonably matching the OI value of the positive film represented by OIand the OI value of the negative film represented by OIand making OI/OIbetween 0.05 and 10, the dynamics performance of the positive electrode plate and the dynamics performance of the negative electrode plate can achieve an optimal match, the lithium-ion battery can have higher charging capability, and also have excellent cycle life and excellent safety performance during the long-term fast charging use.
