Systems, Methods, Devices, and Apparatuses for power saving are provided. In at least one embodiment, a device may be configured for discontinuous reception (DRX) mode and further receive signaling indicating whether or not to wake and/or may receiving signaling indicating whether or not to go-to-sleep. The signaling may be implemented as group-specific signaling.

Systems, methods, and devices for signaling for power saving

Timing adjustments or frequency offsets that at least partially compensate for Doppler shift (e.g., due to distance of a satellite transmitter or relative speed of a terrestrial receiver) of a signal, physical channel, or resource during wireless transmission are configured. The characteristics compensated comprise one of resource element (RE) mapping, channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) configuration, bandwidth part (BWP) configuration, or control resource set (CORESET) configuration. Information indicating the multiple configurations is transmitted from a base station (BS) to at least one user equipment (UE). The timing adjustments or frequency offsets are specifically configured for one UE, a group of UEs, or the UEs served by a single serving cell. Joint transmission from multiple cells/TRPs/spotbeams may involve partial/full subcarrier alignment.

Frequency adjustment in wireless transmission and reception

Embodiments of a User Equipment (UE), generation Node-B (gNB) and methods of communication are generally described herein. The UE may receive, from a gNB, a narrowband physical downlink control channel (NPDCCH) that indicates a number of narrowband internet-of-things (NB-IoT) downlink subframes for a downlink scheduling delay of a narrowband physical downlink shared channel (NPDSCH) in one or more radio frames configured for time-division duplexing (TDD) operation. Subframes of the one or more radio frames may include uplink subframes, NB-IoT downlink subframes for downlink NB-IoT transmissions, and downlink subframes for other downlink transmissions. The UE may determine the downlink scheduling delay based on an earliest subframe for which a count of NB-IoT downlink subframes is equal to the number of NB-IoT downlink subframes indicated in the NPDCCH.

Downlink transmission in TDD supporting feNB-IoTs

Systems, devices, and techniques for indicating the number of repetitions for a downlink control information (DCI) message are described. A described technique includes transmitting an indication of a repetition number for a downlink control information (DCI) message having a predetermined format for transmit power control (TPC) of an uplink channel by a user equipment (UE); and transmitting, to the UE via a machine-type communications physical downlink control channel (MPDCCH), repetitions of the DCI message in accordance with the predetermined format and in accordance with the repetition number. The predetermined format can based on a DCI format 3 or 3A for bandwidth-reduced low-complexity or coverage enhanced (BL/CE) UEs.

Systems and methods of early termination of uplink data transmissions for a UE are described. The UE transmits capacity information that indicates that the UE supports use of an ETS. The ETS indicates successful reception by the eNB of the uplink data prior to an end of a scheduled transmission period to transmit repeated instances of the data. The UE receives a schedule for repeated transmissions of the data that is based on a coverage level of the UE, and then transmits sets of one or more repetitions. After the transmission, the UE monitors a predetermined resource whether the ETS is present or whether the ETS indicates an ACK. If the ETS indicates successful reception, the UE terminates transmission of the remaining repetitions of the data and enters a sleep mode or transmits other uplink data.

Technology for a user equipment (UE) operable to perform downlink (DL) channel quality measurement reporting is disclosed. The UE can decode a system information block type y bandwidth reduced (SIBy-BR) received from an eNodeB. The SIB1-BR can instruct the UE to include a DL channel quality measurement report in a message 3 (Msg3) transmitted during a random access procedure between the UE and the eNodeB, wherein y is a positive integer greater than or equal to 1. The UE can determine a DL channel quality measurement for a DL channel between the UE and the eNodeB. The UE can encode the Msg3 for delivery over an uplink channel to the eNodeB. The Msg3 can be delivered during the random access procedure and can include the DL channel quality measurement report with the DL channel quality measurement.

In one aspect, the method can include actions of generating, by an access node, an RRC communication including one or more parameters that, when processed by the UE, configures the UE to forego use of computing resources to buffer for potential PDSCH transmission for a predetermined amount of time, encoding, by the access node, the RRC communication for transmission to the UE, and causing, by the access node, one or more antennae to transmit the encoded RRC communication to the UE.

Systems, apparatus, user equipment (UE), evolved node B (eNB), computer readable media, and methods are described for scheduling of multiple uplink transmissions in unlicensed spectrum. One embodiment involves receiving, at an eNB, a first uplink scheduling request from a UE, scheduling a plurality of uplink subframes on the unlicensed channel in response to the first uplink scheduling request, and initiating transmission of a first subframe to the first UE in response to the scheduling of the plurality of uplink subframes, wherein the first subframe comprises one or more downlink control indicators (DCIs) allocating the plurality of uplink subframes to the first UE.

A synchronization signal block (SSB) including a primary synchronization signal (PSS), a secondary synchronization signal (SSS), a physical broadcast channel (PBCH) is transmitted using first and second beams. One or more symbols adjoining the first and second synchronization signals are configured to accommodate a beam switching time.
