A control method for an electronic device comprising a sensor unit having a first detection range and a second detection range measured from the electronic device, and the second detection range being smaller than the first detection range. The method includes: detecting a 3D movement track of an operation body when the relative distance between the operation body and the electronic device is smaller than the first detection range, the 3D movement track being a continuous movement track having one end between the first and second detection range and the other end equal to or smaller than the second detection range; generating a status change signal when the operation body reaches close to or moves away from the second detection range of the sensor unit; executing a corresponding control command according to the 3D movement track and the status change signal.

The present disclosure provides a method and an electronic device for information processing. The electronic device comprises a sensing unit and a display unit having a display area. The display unit displays a graphical interface. The display area displays a first part of the graphical interface. The method comprises: detecting a first operation by the sensing unit when the display unit displays the first part of the graphical interface; displaying the second part of the graphical interface on the display unit in response to the first operation; detecting a second operation; determining whether a preset condition is satisfied during the detecting of the second operation to obtain first decision information; and displaying a speech control on the display unit when the first decision information indicates that the preset condition is satisfied during the detecting of the second operation.

Fingertip-sized discrete areas are provided on a slate computer and have different tactile characteristics than the remainder of the surface on which they are disposed. The discrete areas are arranged to mimic home keys of a keyboard and each discrete area corresponds to a respective home key. In this way, a user is given tactile feedback of when fingers are properly placed in the home position, with home key finger placement triggering the presentation of a full keyboard on screen. Other embodiments do not use tactilely distinct keys, with simultaneous placement of two or more fingers on the computer triggering display of the virtual keyboard.
