The present invention provides an apparatus for expanding a query requirement, comprising: a query requirement understanding device which generates an explicit query requirement according to a user query request; and a query requirement expanding device which generates an implicit query requirement associated with the explicit query requirement. The query requirement understanding device generates an explicit query requirement including a query concept and a question type by searching a knowledge base and a language base, and the query requirement expanding device generates an implicit query requirement including a query concept and a question type by searching the knowledge base, the language base and a relevancy database. The present invention provides a flexible ontology data import/export method and apparatus. The ontology data import apparatus comprises: an ontology data format analyzer for analyzing a format of input ontology data, and performing format determination by utilizing an ontology format database which stores formats of those successfully imported ontologies if it is a private unknown format; and an unknown format data importer for separating and importing the data into an ontology database which stores ontologies, in accordance with a result of the format determination by the ontology data format analyzer. Further, the ontology data export apparatus comprises a keyword-based and query-language-combined ontology exporter and an ontology data export format analyzer, and the keyword-based and query-language-combined ontology exporter outputs a query result returned from the ontology database in accordance with the export format returned from the ontology data export format analyzer.

A natural language based location query system and a method thereof. The system comprises a receiving device which receives a request for natural language query from a user terminal; an access device which accesses a location ontology base and a location query language base that are external to the system or internal in the system, wherein the location ontology base comprising knowledge descriptions about the field of a location service, and the location query language base comprising a language model for the location service query; a natural language query processing device which performs at least one of a fuzzy processing and an indirection processing on the received request for natural language query by searching the location ontology base and the location query language base with the access device, retrieves location information corresponding to the request from a location database; and a sending device which sends the location information to the user terminal. Therefore, the degree of freedom of user query is enhanced and the location query is more flexible and accurate.
