The instant disclosure is directed to a heterogeneous fiber fluid reservoir for holding and delivering fluid. A reservoir may comprise a rod having a core component and a surrounding component. Each of the core component and the surrounding component may comprise fibers. The core component may have a first property, and the surrounding component may have a second property different from the first property, or the core component and the surrounding component may each have a different value or range of values for the same property. Alternatively, a reservoir may comprise a rod that includes fibers and has a cross-sectional diameter. At least one property of the rod may vary in value along the cross-sectional diameter of the rod. The property may include, for example, fiber bulk density, fiber diameter, fiber material, fiber morphology, fiber surface tension, capillary force, fluid absorption capacity, color, or combinations thereof.

Heterogeneous fiber fluid reservoirs

The present disclosure provides small diameter tubular porous fiber filters. These tubular porous fiber filters have many uses including but not limited a filtration medium for removing particles of 5 microns or less from liquid or air.

Small diameter tubular porous fiber filter

A mouthpiece for a smoking device is provided. The mouthpiece comprises a porous substrate. The porous surface comprises a wall having an outer surface having an outer cross-sectional shape and an inner surface having an inner cross-sectional shape. The inner surface defines a hollow interior space. A wall thickness is defined by the outer and inner surfaces. The porous substrate has a specific hardness of at least about 1.5 hardness % per weight (g) per length (mm) of the porous substrate. The porous substrate has a porosity of about 50% to about 70%. The inner and outer surfaces provide a wall thickness of about 20% to 60% of an area defined by the outer cross-sectional shape.

Shaped elements for smoking devices

The instant disclosure relates to an integral porous fiber media with distinguishable distribution of fiber density, fiber diameter and capillary force. The instant disclosure further relates to a fiber porous media that includes multiple density portions. The disclosed media is a single piece, such that the different density portions are not separable. The disclosed media provides improved liquid delivery properties for a specific liquid delivery device.
