A method for wireless communication at a wireless device is disclosed herein. The method includes selecting a wideband precoder for a first set of antennas and a second set of antennas based on at least one matrix, where a number of the first set of antennas and the second set of antennas is greater than a maximum number of supported layers. The method includes calculating, based on the selected wideband precoder, a first set of performance metrics for the first set of antennas and a second set of performance metrics for the second set of antennas. The method includes combining the first set of performance metrics for the first set of antennas and the second set of performance metrics for the second set of antennas based on the calculation.

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for indicating capability of a user equipment (UE) to support multiple sounding reference signals (SRSs) with a single subframe, with at least one of frequency hopping, different bandwidths, or antenna switching for the multiple SRSs in the same subframe.

A base station maps code blocks of a transport block of a transport block size (TBS) for a channel using tone-level interleaving or resource element (RE)-level interleaving. Then, the base station can transmit the code blocks of the transport block of the TBS for the channel. A UE may receive the channel from the base station and de-interleave the received tones of the channel in a frequency domain to obtain the code blocks of the transport block having the TBS for the channel.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) utilizing enhanced carrier aggregation (eCA) may identify a limit to the number of channel state feedback (CSF) processes it is capable of supporting. The UE may transmit an indication of this limit to a base station, which may configure the UE for channel state reporting, and send channel state reporting triggers according to the indicated limit. The UE's determination of the limit to the number of CSF processes may be based on various transmit or receive antenna configurations. A single trigger may correspond to reports covering multiple subframes and/or component carriers. The base station may also arrange the channel state reporting configuration to reduce the peak number of channel state reports that the UE processes during each subframe. The UE may also determine that a number of channel state processes needed to support channel state reporting in a subframe exceeds its capacity. The UE may then prioritize the channel state processes and/or may transmit one or more non-current reports.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. One example includes calculating one or more first channel capacities for each precoder hypothesis of a first subset of precoder hypotheses and selecting a first precoder hypothesis of the first subset of precoder hypotheses using the calculated first channel capacities. The example also includes selecting a second subset of precoder hypotheses based on the first precoder hypothesis, calculating one or more second channel capacities for each precoder hypothesis of the second subset of precoder hypotheses, and selecting a second precoder hypothesis of the second subset of precoder hypotheses using the calculated second channel capacities. The example also includes selecting grouping co-phase factors based at least in part on the first precoder hypothesis or the second precoder hypothesis and transmitting a first precoding matrix indicator that indicates a first precoder index based on the one or more grouping co-phase factors.
