An anchor assembly is disclosed for suspending objects to a concrete structure. The assembly includes an anchor housing having a jaw assembly therein and a opening for receiving an anchor member such as a threaded rod. The jaw assembly includes threaded rods having a threaded opening, a wood form anchor assembly and a metal decking anchor assembly. The wood form and the metal decking anchor assemblies may accommodate the anchor housing and the anchor housing is used in one of the wood form anchor assembly and the metal decking anchor assembly. The metal decking anchor assembly includes a nose-piece and the anchor housing is selectively connectable to the nose-piece via a locking connection such as a bayonet connection.

Cast-in place anchor with lockable jaw assembly

A power tool having a rotary impact mechanism and a mode change mechanism. The impact mechanism is driven by an output member of a transmission and includes a hammer and an anvil. The mode change mechanism includes a mode collar that is movable between a first position, in which the mode collar directly couples the hammer to the transmission output member to inhibit movement of the hammer relative to the spindle, and a second position in which the mode collar does not inhibit movement of the hammer relative to the spindle.

Hybrid impact tool

A power tool that includes a housing, a motor, a planetary transmission, a first bearing and a second bearing. The motor is disposed in the housing and includes an output shaft. The planetary transmission has a sun gear, a plurality of first planet gears, a first ring gear and a carrier. The sun gear is driven by the output shaft. The first planet gears are driven by the sun gear and have teeth that are meshingly engaged to teeth of the first ring gear. The carrier includes a rear carrier plate and a front carrier plate between which the first and second planet gears are received. The rear carrier plate includes a first bearing aperture. The first bearing is received in the first bearing aperture and is configured to support the output shaft. The second bearing is received onto the rear carrier plate to support the carrier relative to the housing.

Hybrid impact tool with two-speed transmission

A power tool that includes a housing, a motor, a trigger, a multi-speed transmission and a torque clutch. The housing define a handle. The motor is coupled to the housing. The trigger is coupled to the housing and configured to control operation of the motor. The multi-speed transmission is configured to transmit rotary power between the motor and the output spindle and includes a plurality of planetary stages with a first stage and a second stage that receives rotary power from the first stage. The first stage has a first internally toothed gear element and the second stage having a second internally toothed gear element. The torque clutch limits torque output from the multi-speed transmission to the output spindle. The torque clutch is configured to alternatively ground the second and third internally toothed gear elements to the housing based on a speed ratio setting of the multi-speed transmission.

Power tool with torque clutch

A power tool that includes a housing, a motor, a pair of motor bearings, a transmission, an output spindle and front and rear spindle bearings. The motor is received in the housing and includes a stator and an output shaft that extends through the stator. The motor bearings support the output shaft for rotation relative to the housing and are disposed on opposite ends of the stator. The transmission is driven by the motor and includes an input pinion that is mounted to the output shaft for rotation therewith. The output spindle is driven by the transmission. The front spindle bearing is mounted to a front end of the output shaft radially between the housing and the output shaft. The rear spindle bearing is mounted to a rear end of the output spindle and a portion of the rear spindle bearing rotates with the output shaft.

A power tool having a rotary impact mechanism and a mode change mechanism. The impact mechanism is driven by an output member of a transmission and includes a hammer and an anvil. A power tool includes a housing, a motor contained in the housing, an output shaft extending proximate a front of the housing, an end effector coupled to the output shaft and configured to hold an accessory; and a transmission disposed in the housing between the motor and the output shaft. The transmission includes a variable ratio gear set configured to transmit power from the motor to the output shaft at a substantially variable speed ratio. The transmission may further include a constant ratio gear set configured to transmit power from the motor at a substantially constant speed ratio. The transmission may be automatically or manually shiftable between a first mode where it transmits power through the constant speed ratio gear set and a second mode where it transmits power through the variable speed ratio gear set.

A control system is provided for use in a power tool. The control system includes: a rotational rate sensor having a resonating mass and a controller electrically connected to the rotational rate sensor. The rotational rate sensor detects lateral displacement of the resonating mass and generates a signal indicative of the detected lateral displacement, such that the lateral displacement is directly proportional to a rotational speed at which the power tool rotates about an axis of the rotary shaft. Based on the generated signal, the controller initiates a protective operation to avoid further undesirable rotation of the power tool. The controller may opt to reduce the torque applied to shaft to a non-zero value that enables the operator to regain control of the tool.

A vibration dampening handle for a powered apparatus includes an elongated gripping member having first and second opposite ends and a longitudinal axis extending through the first and second ends, and a wall defining an inner bore and having an inner surface. The inner bore extending along the longitudinal axis at least partially through the gripping member, and opens on at least the first end of the gripping member. A weighted mass is disposed at the second free cantilevered end of the gripping member. An elongate elastic beam member is attached to the gripping member. A portion of the beam member is disposed within the inner bore and is spaced apart from the inner surface. The beam member further includes a first end that extends beyond the first end of the gripping member and includes a fastening member adapted to connect the handle to the powered apparatus.

A power tool with a housing, a motor, a transmission, a spindle and an impact mechanism. The motor has an output shaft that drives the transmission. The transmission has a plurality of planet gears, a planet carrier journally supporting the planet gears for rotation about an axis, and a ring gear that is in meshing engagement with the planet gears. The impact mechanism has a plurality of anvil lugs, an impactor and an impactor spring. The anvil lugs are coupled to the ring gear and are not engaged by the planet gears. The impactor is mounted to pivot about the spindle and has a plurality of hammer lugs. The impactor spring biases the impactor toward the ring gear to cause the hammer lugs to engage the anvil lugs. A power tool having an impact mechanism with an external adjusting member that can be moved to vary a trip torque of the impact mechanism is also provided.

The transmission is disposed in the housing and receives a rotary input from the output shaft. The transmission includes an input planetary stage, which has an input planet carrier, and an output planetary stage. The output spindle is driven by the transmission and has a first end, which extends at least partly through the input planetary stage, and a second end opposite the first end. The front bearing is disposed between the output spindle and the housing to support the second end of the output spindle for rotation about the spindle axis. The rear bearing indirectly supports the first end of the output spindle in the housing for rotation about the spindle axis.
