Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive information indicating a configuration of slot formats for a plurality of time periods. The UE may receive an indication of one or more time locations, with respect to the plurality of time periods, for sub-band full duplex (SBFD) communication at a network node or for reverting from SBFD communication to half-duplex communication at the network node. Indication of time locations for sub-band full duplex communication

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first network node may receive a control message identifying at least one symbol or at least one slot to be used for subband full duplex communications at a second network node. The first network node may receive a first indication of uplink resources for uplink communications during the at least one symbol or the at least one slot. The first network node may receive a second indication of downlink resources for downlink communications during the at least one symbol or the at least one slot. The first network node may communicate with the second network node during the at least one symbol or the at least one slot in accordance with one of the first indication or the second indication based on one or more prioritization rules.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit a subband full duplex (SBFD) pattern report, indicating a candidate SBFD pattern. The candidate SBFD pattern may indicate a candidate number of downlink or uplink subbands, a number of or location of guard bands, frequency locations of the uplink or downlink subbands or guard bands, a total uplink and downlink bandwidth, time locations of SBFD symbols or slots, transmit/receive beam pairs, transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state pairs or timing, or any combination thereof. The network may configure the UE with an SBFD pattern based on receiving the SBFD pattern report (e.g., which may or may not be the same as the reported candidate SBFD pattern).

Reporting of preferred subband configurations for full duplex operations

A UE receives a first Time Division-Duplexing (TDD) Uplink (UL) Downlink (DL) slot format configuration in RRC signaling, the first TDD UL DL slot format configuration indicating types of communication for a set of symbols or a set of slots, the types of the communication including one or more of uplink, downlink, or flexible. The UE further receives an indication of an adjusted type for at least one symbol in the set of symbols or at least one slot in the set of slots. The at least one symbol for which a type of the communication is adjusted is a downlink symbol or an uplink symbol based on the first time TDD UL DL slot format configuration, or the at least one slot for which the type of the communication is adjusted is a downlink slot or an uplink slot based on the first time TDD UL DL slot format configuration.

Signaling to override radio resource control (RRC) configured direction

A user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a base station, a UE capability to receive a first portion of a tracking reference signal (TRS) and a second portion of the TRS, the first portion and the second portion associated with a TRS pattern. The UE may receive, from the base station, an indication of the TRS pattern, where the TRS pattern includes the first portion of the TRS pattern and the second portion of the TRS pattern. The UE may receive one or more TRSs according to the first portion of the TRS pattern and the second portion of the TRS pattern.

Enhanced tracking reference signal patterns

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Techniques described herein relate to schemes for managing an overlap of at least part of a tracking reference signal (TRS) with an uplink subband or a guard band in a subband full duplex (SBFD) slot or symbol. In some examples, if a user equipment (UE) and/or a network entity determines that at least a portion of a TRS is scheduled for reception in an uplink subband or a guard band of an SBFD slot or symbol, the UE and/or the network entity may: drop the TRS, puncture the portion of the TRS that overlaps with the uplink subband or the guard band; or may shift the frequency position of the TRS such that the TRS is scheduled within the downlink subband(s) of the SBFD slot or symbol.

Tracking reference signals in full duplex operation

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. For example, a communication device may receive control signaling (e.g., a broadcasted control signal) from another communication device. The control signaling may indicate beam information for one or more beams of a set of beams. The one or more beams may correspond to the serving cell or one or more neighboring cells. The beam information may include one or more metrics associated with each of the one or more beams. As such, the communication device may determine that a metric associated with each of the one or more beams satisfies a threshold, select the beam, and communicate using the selected beam. In some other examples, the beam-specific information may include beam measurement offsets for one or more beams. In such examples, the communication device may select a beam based on the beam measurement offsets and perform communications using the selected beam.

Beam-specific key performance indicator indication for serving node selection

A wireless device, such as a user equipment (UE), may receive first scheduling information with first resources for periodic transmissions with a first beam based on a half-duplex mode. The wireless device may receive second scheduling information for second resources associated with a second beam that is incompatible with the first beam for full duplex communication including downlink reception and uplink transmission that overlaps in time. The wireless device may adjust communication in response to the first beam being incompatible with the second beam for the full duplex communication.

Beam adjustment/cancellation rules for non-compatible UL/DL beams

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive an indication of a sub-band full-duplex (SBFD) configuration of a cell serving the UE. The SBFD configuration may indicate a first set of resources for downlink communications and a second set of resources for uplink communications. The first set of resources and the second set of resources may include non-overlapping frequency resources in a same time interval. The UE may receive a control message that indicates a pre-emption of the first set of resources or a cancellation of the second set of resources. Accordingly, the UE may determine that downlink transmissions in at least a portion of the first set of resources are pre-empted or that uplink transmissions in at least a portion of the second set of resources are cancelled based on the control message and the SBFD configuration of the cell.

Downlink pre-emption and uplink cancellation for full-duplex systems

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. In some systems, a user equipment (UE) may transmit a message that indicates a first quantity of calculations that the UE is capable of performing within a same time period. The first quantity of calculations may include at least one calculation that is based on one or more cross-link interference (CLI) measurements at the UE. A first quantity of reports supported by the UE may be based on the first quantity of calculations. The CLI measurements may correspond to interference at the UE based on communications by at least a second UE. The UE may transmit a second quantity of one or more reports based on the CLI measurements. The second quantity of reports may be less than or equal to the first quantity of reports based on the message.

Cross-link interference reporting for wireless communications

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a network node may output a first configuration for a set of resources, the first configuration being associated with a time division duplexing pattern, and the first configuration configuring the set of resources to one of an uplink format, a downlink format, or a flexible format. The network node may output a second configuration configuring one or more resources, of the set of resources, to a sub-band full duplex (SBFD) format based at least in part on the one or more resources satisfying a condition. Sub-band full duplex resource configuration

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for improving the reliability of downlink transmissions from a base station to a user equipment (UE). The UE may determine one or more preferred configurations for the base station to use to transmit multiple downlink transmissions to the UE, and the UE may transmit a recommendation of the preferred configuration(s) to the base station. The base station may then determine configurations to use for the multiple downlink transmissions based on the recommendation received from the UE, and the base station may transmit the downlink transmissions to the UE using the determined configurations. Because the UE may provide the recommendation of the preferred configuration(s) to the base station, the configurations used by the base station for the multiple downlink transmissions may be selected specifically for the UE. Thus, the reliability of the downlink transmissions may improve.
