An example method for managing messaging for multiple messaging accounts includes displaying, at an electronic device, an aggregated messaging user interface (UI) that includes data from a plurality of user accounts associated with one or more messaging application. The method further includes detecting a selection of a UI element for creating a new message via at least one respective user account of the plurality of user accounts. The method includes, after detecting the selection, and after determining that messaging capabilities for two or more respective user accounts of the plurality of user accounts are enabled, presenting: (i) a first selectable option that, when selected causes the electronic device to initiate creation of a message for a first respective user account, and (ii) a second selectable option that, when selected, causes the electronic device to initiate creation of a message for a second respective user account.

Wrist-wearable devices for aggregating and guiding access to data from multiple different electronic messaging applications via a quickly-accessible communications-hub mode, and methods of use thereof

Systems and methods are provided for aggregating and guiding access to data from multiple different electronic messaging applications via a quickly accessible communications-hub mode. The method includes displaying, on a display of a wrist-wearable device that includes at least a first messaging application and a second messaging application distinct from the first messaging application, a watch-face UI. The method includes, while displaying the watch-face UI, detecting an input from a user wearing the wrist-wearable device, the input corresponding to a request from the user to activate a communications-hub mode. The method further includes in response to detecting the input corresponding to the request from the user to activate the communications-hub mode ceasing to display the representation of the watch face, and displaying, on the display of the wrist-wearable device, the aggregated messaging UI.

Exemplary embodiments provide techniques for promoting and providing subscribed content via a messaging platform. An article may be viewed via a social networking service (such as in a social network's news feed), or on a partner website integrated with the social networking service and/or messaging service. When opening the article (e.g., in a web-based view), a banner may be displayed in association with the article indicating that the article could have been received as part of a messaging-based subscription service. The banner may include a control to subscribe to the publisher with the messaging service. Topics related to an article may be suggested in the message thread for the subscription, with the selection of a topic retrieving additional articles from that publisher related to that topic. These additional articles may be selected using social networking topic determination.

In one embodiment, an apparatus may comprise a client front-end component operative to receive a client inbox request for a user account from a client device, the user account for a messaging system; and transmit an ordered business promotion contact list to the client device in response to the client inbox request; a business contact list component operative to determine a business promotion contact list for a user account for a messaging system; a predicted interest component operative to determine a predicted business messaging interest for each business contact on the business promotion contact list; and a contact ranking component operative to determine a ranking weight for each business contact on the business promotion contact list based on the predicted business messaging interest for each business contact. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

Techniques for device configuration for commerce messaging using commerce messaging history information

The principles described herein provide methods and systems of providing new user assistance information for performing actions within a user interface as a user navigates the user interface. For example, information may be presented to the user in a way that aids the user in discovering and performing available actions within the user interface without being overly disruptive to the user.
