The memory stores instructions, that when executed, cause the processorto execute the specified application, designate a CP server by interacting with a platform server over the second network, receive an initial response message generated by the designated CP server over the first network, and verify a first identifier of the designated CP server based on the first protocol from a source of the initial response message.

An input video stream of video content may be encoded and transmitted from a provider to an intermediary, which decodes and edits the video content, and then re-encodes and transmits the video content to end viewers via an output video stream. When re-encoding the video content, the intermediary may determine to selectively re-use and/or not re-use input motion vectors from the input video stream, for example based on an amount of distortion associated with editing of the video content. In some examples, input motion vectors may be re-used for re-encoding of certain portions (e.g., frames, parts of frames, etc.) of the output video stream and not re-used for re-encoding of other portions of the output video stream.

Techniques for estimating speed for an object in a video (either stream or file) are described. In particular, once an object has been recognized, additional data (such as size) for that recognized object is used in a determination of a 3D position of that object in a plurality of frames. An estimated speed may be found using a difference between 3D positions of the object in different frames over the time between the frames.

A system and method are provided for sharing data and/or objects between electronic devices via an IMS infrastructure. First and second applications of first and second electronic devices exchange a capability via the IMS infrastructure. The capability is defined by a developer of the first application. The capability is not defined in the UCE standard. The capability relates to a data structure describing a status of one of the applications. An IMS connection is established between the applications via the IMS infrastructure. Either data relating to a status of the first application stored in the data structure is sent to the second application via the IMS connection, or data relating to a status of the second application stored in the data structure is received at the first application via the IMS connection.
