Examples of the disclosure are directed to micro-machined ultrasonic transducers (MUTs) which can be embedded into a flexible band of a watch to detect touch, gestures, physiological signals, and transfer data. In some examples, the MUTs can include a piezoelectric material disposed between two electrodes and coupled to a base material having a plurality of cavities, to support motion of the transducer structure. In some examples, the MUTs can be coupled to multiplexing circuitry to stimulate, configure and control the MUTs. In some examples, the size, shape, and arrangement of transducers can be changed to improve characteristics associated with ultrasonic transmission. In some examples, the MUT array can be driven (e.g., by the CMOS circuitry) to beamform the transmitted and/or the received ultrasonic waves. In some examples, the one or more MUT arrays can be configured to generate haptic feedback via the flexible band.

Embedded ultrasonic transducers

A multilink access point may communicate with a legacy device. The multilink access point identifies an attempt, by at least one legacy station, to connect to the access point, determines that the at least one legacy station does not support multilink communications, broadcasts a beacon identifying information for a basic communication link that can be used by the at least one legacy station and associates with the at least one legacy station based at least on information included in the beacon, wherein the at least one legacy station communicates exclusively on the basic communication link with the access point.

MultiLink operations in wireless local area network

A method for communicating over a wireless network includes broadcasting, by a Multi-Link Device (MLD) device, service data indicative of one or more services for wireless communication with a client device; wherein the service data indicates that a service type is differentiated based on a type of the client device; establishing a security association with the client device; and in response to establishing a security association with the client device, granting access by the client device to a subset of the one or more services based on the type of the client device.

Systems and methods for multi-link device privacy protection

Methods include directing a laser beam to a target along a scan path at a variable scan velocity and adjusting a digital modulation during movement of the laser beam along the scan path and in relation to the variable scan velocity so as to provide a fluence at the target within a predetermined fluence range along the scan path. Some methods include adjusting a width of the laser beam with a zoom beam expander. Apparatus include a laser source situated to emit a laser beam, a 3D scanner situated to receive the laser beam and to direct the laser beam along a scan path in a scanning plane at the target, and a laser source digital modulator coupled to the laser source so as to produce a fluence at the scanning plane along the scan path that is in a predetermined fluence range as the laser beam scan speed changes along the scan path.

Fine-scale temporal control for laser material processing

An electronic device (such as an access point) that receives one or more block acknowledgments is described. This electronic device may transmit an extremely high-throughput (EHT) physical layer convergence protocol (PLCP) protocol data unit (PPDU) to a recipient electronic device, where the EHT PPDU is transmitted in multiple non-contiguous sub-bands that are separated by a punctured sub-band. Moreover, the electronic may receive the one or more block acknowledgments from the recipient electronic device, where the one or more block acknowledgments exclude the punctured sub-band. Note that the EHT PPDU may exclude transmitted energy in the punctured sub-band. Moreover, the punctured sub-band may have a bandwidth of at least 20 MHz and may be different from a primary sub-band.

Embodiments may relate to group addressed frame delivery over multi-link systems. Systems and methods are configured for identifying, by an access point (AP) multilink device (MLD) in a wireless network, a first sequence number space (SNS) that is to be used by the AP MLD to transmit data to a non-AP MLD over a first communications link and a second communications link, wherein frames with identical data that are transmitted over the first and second communications links will have an identical first SN based on the first SNS; identifying, by the MLD in the wireless network, the first SN based on the first SNS; and transmitting, by the AP MLD in the wireless network, a frame that includes the data to the non-AP MLD based on the first SN.

Group addressed frame delivery over multi-link systems

This disclosure relates to techniques for performing ranging wireless communication including prioritization. A first wireless device may transmit a request for ranging services to a second wireless device. The first wireless device may transmit an indication of a ranging priority to the second wireless device. The second wireless device may determine a granted ranging priority. The first and second wireless device may perform ranging communication according to the granted ranging priority.

Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for identity obscuration of a station (STA) connected to a wireless network to prevent the tracking of the STA. Embodiments include a STA configured to establish a security association with an access point (AP) based on an original long term identity for the station and an identity of the AP. The STA can transmit a new long term identity for the STA to the AP based on the security association. The STA can then transmit a request frame to change the original short term identity assigned to the STA to the AP. The STA can receive a response frame from the AP. The response frame can include a new short term identity assigned to the station by the AP. The STA can then map its new long term identity to its new short term identity assigned by the AP.

Identity obscuration for a wireless station

Some aspects of this disclosure include apparatuses and methods for implementing a hibernation mode for multi-link wireless communication networks such as a wireless local area network (WLAN). For example, some aspects relate to a multi-link device (MLD) including a first station (STA) associated with a first link of a wireless network and configured to communicate with a second MLD over the first link. The MLD also includes a second STA associated with a second link of the wireless network. The second STA is in a hibernation mode. The MLD also includes one or more processors communicatively coupled to the first and second STAs and configured to control operations of the first and second STAs.

Multi-link hibernation mode for WLAN

A first multilink device (MLD) is configured to communicate with a second MLD using at least two communication links. The first MLD selects a first link of the at least two communication links for communications between the first MLD and the second MLD, detects that the first link is unavailable for communications, switches a radio of the first MLD to a second link of the at least two communication links, transmits an alert to the second MLD regarding the switching from the first one of the at least two communication links to the second one of the at least two communication links and communicates with the second MLD via the second link.

Fast link switch between multilink devices

An electronic device may transmit beacons associated with multiple access points that are cohosted by the electronic device, and that provide concurrent links in different bands of frequencies. The electronic device may include an access-point multi-link device (AP MLD). Moreover, the beacons may include: a basic service set identifier (BSSID) associated with the access points in the AP MLD, a service set identifier (SSID) associated with the access points in the AP MLD, and a MLD media access control (MAC) address associated with the access points in the AP MLD. Furthermore, a given beacon may be associated with a given access point and may include: information specifying a channel of a given link, a reduced neighbor report (RNR) providing information about at least the access points in the AP MLD, and a field that indicates when the given access point is included in the AP MLD.

Multi-link beaconing and discovery

An electronic device (such as an access point) is described. This electronic device transmits an orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) frame to a recipient electronic device (such as a client or a station). The OFDMA frame includes multiple predefined resource units (RUs) allocated to the recipient electronic device in a set of predefined RUs having associated frequency bandwidths. Moreover, the multiple predefined RUs include two or more first predefined RUs having a first number of tones less than a predefined amount, or two or more second predefined RUs having a second number of tones greater than or equal to the predefined amount. For example, the predefined amount may include 242 tones. Note that the multiple predefined RUs may have the same or different numbers of tones. Moreover, the electronic may receive an acknowledgment or a block acknowledgment from the recipient electronic device.

Multi-resource-unit aggregation

An electronic device that communicates frames is described. During operation, the electronic device may transmit the frames addressed to a recipient electronic device and associated with multiple links between the electronic device and the recipient electronic device. Then, the electronic device may receive block acknowledgments for at least a subset of the frames, where a given block acknowledgment is associated with the recipient electronic device and indicates received frames on a given link in the links. Moreover, the electronic device may control an amount of traffic conveyed on the links based at least in part on the block acknowledgments. Next, the electronic device may store a remainder of the frames based at least in part on the block acknowledgments, where the frames include the subset of the frames and the remainder of the frames. Note that the frames may have a common traffic identifier.

Link-specific block acknowledgment for multi-link communication

An apparatus is provided for autonomous security and functional safety (FUSA) of clock and voltages. The apparatus may include: a multiplexer having a first input communicatively coupled to a pin to receive a first clock external to a die, and a second input coupled to an output of a divider; an oscillator to provide a second clock; and a counter coupled to an output of the multiplexer and the oscillator, wherein the counter is to operate with the second clock and is to determine a frequency of the first clock. The apparatus may further include a voltage monitor circuitry for monitoring voltage(s) for FUSA, a reference generator for FUSA, a duty cycle monitor for FUSA, a frequency degradation monitor for FUSA, and a phase error degradation monitor for FUSA.

Apparatus for autonomous security and functional safety of clock and voltages including adjustment of a divider ratio

A local entity is proposed for determination of user equipment location in a mobile communication network. The local entity is configured to be run on a first user equipment and/or in an access network. The local entity is configured to receive location information of a target user equipment, and determine a location of the target user equipment based on the location information. This is advantageous because the determination of the location can be improved with regard to a determination of the location carried out by the core network. Particularly, the location can be determined without the core network being involved.
