An apparatus for estimating a condition of a battery includes a mode identifying unit configured to identify a usage mode of the battery during a period of time and its corresponding attenuation curve, according to recorded data on battery usage, stored usage modes of the battery and attenuation curves corresponding to the various usage modes, the attenuation curve representing a change of a fully charged capacity of the battery with battery usage; and a condition estimating unit configured to calculate battery degradation according to the recorded data, the identified usage mode and its corresponding attenuation curve, the degradation representing a quantity of the fully charged capacity of the battery that is reduced over the battery usage. The condition of the battery is estimated so as to rationally judge the residual value of the battery in operation.

The present invention may also include determining a first set of non-critical ECUs involved in the target production process, the pool of the non-critical ECUs being obtained based on the plurality of reference production processes. In an approach, a processor predicts a thermal load caused by a door opening event in at least part of a cargo space of a refrigerated transport vehicle based on, at least, an external ambient condition, environmental factors within the cargo space, and a duration of the door opening event. A processor obtains pre-cooling profile information describing cargo space temperature performance with a pre-cooling operation under conditions corresponding to, at least, the predicted thermal load caused by the door opening event. A processor determines a distribution path for the refrigerated transport vehicle based on the predicted thermal load caused by the door opening event and the obtained pre-cooling profile information, wherein the distribution path is associated with the pre-cooling operation.

A system and method for extracting a skeleton topology structure for an electric power grid, the method comprising: receiving a description of a topology sub-structure corresponding with user's need and a description of skeleton topology sub-structure extracted from the topology sub-structure; generating a first incidence matrix based on the description of the topology sub-structure and a second incidence matrix based on the description of the skeleton topology sub-structure; generating a third incidence matrix based on a primary topology structure of electric power grid; searching from the third incidence matrix a sub-matrix that matches the first incidence matrix; obtaining a fourth incidence matrix by using the second incidence matrix to transform the matching sub-matrix; and generating a skeleton topology structure corresponding to the primary topology structure based on the fourth incidence matrix.

According to embodiments of the present invention, the energy consumption assessment is done by identifying the benchmark production processes or enterprises. First, a process similarity between a target production process and a candidate production process is determined based on energy consumption units (ECUs) involved in the target production process and the candidate production process. In response to the process similarity being greater than a first threshold, an energy consumption similarity between the target production process and the candidate production process is determined based on a factor that has influence on energy consumption of at least one of the ECUs. In response to the energy consumption similarity being greater than a second threshold, the candidate production process is identified as a benchmark for assessing energy consumption of the target production process.

In an approach for detecting islanding effect in a power electrical network topology, a computer processor finds, in the power electrical network topology, a point of common coupling between a load and a distributed generation with potential islanding effect as well as a substation supplying power to said point of common coupling; collects operating parameters of the power grid in vicinity of said point of common coupling as well as in vicinity of said substation; determines whether islanding effect exists in said distributed generation and the load in accordance with a variation characteristic of the operating parameters of the power grid in vicinity of said point of common coupling and the operating parameters of the power grid in vicinity of said substation. Higher degree of accuracy and sensitivity of detecting islanding effect is achieved without compromising the energy quality on user side according to embodiments of the present invention.
