The present invention relates to an opening device comprising a first portion on one side of a fibre based packaging laminate and a second portion on an opposite side of the fibre based packaging laminate, the first and second portion being formed in one and the same piece and joined by at least one material bridge extending through the packaging laminate. The present invention also relates to a method for manufacturing the opening device and to a packaging material to be used is such a method.

An opening device for a packaging container, the packaging container being formed from a packaging material having an upper side constituting the outside of the packaging container and a lower side constituting the inside of the container, the opening device including two operational parts, a preformed support part arranged on the upper side of the packaging material and a membrane part arranged on the lower side of the container and extending into openings of the support part such as to mechanically connect the two parts, and wherein the materials of the membrane part and the support part are thermally incompatible polymer materials.

Opening device and method for manufacturing the same, and a packaging material provided with said opening device

A package material may include one or more layers of plastic laminate, a first side, a second side and a penetration area. A weakening line may extend from the penetration area and may provide an opening area in the package material. The package material may include a plastic opening device, with a first and second portion attached to the first and second side, respectively, and a material bridge penetrating through the penetration area. The second portion may cover at least partly the penetration area and may include a guiding portion extending from the penetration area adjacent to the at least one weakening line as to facilitate rupturing substantially along the at least one weakening line.

Package material comprises one or more layers of plastic laminate, a first side, a second side and a penetration area (). An apparatus for molding a thermoplastic package part(s) to an end portion of a container body includes inner and outer mold elements between which a mold cavity per package part is formed. At least one of these mold elements is at least partly freely suspended. When one package part is molded with the mold elements, plastic melt is injected in a first number &#x2267;1 of points in the cavity, an island of plastic melt for each point is formed inside the cavity, and the distribution of the points causes a force center to pass through a surface defined by a parallel projection of each first number of islands on a plane orthogonal to a direction of the compression force, and when the first number &#x3e;1, a second number of imaginary straight lines interconnecting a third number of parallel projections such that the surface is at its maximum.

Apparatus for moulding a part of a packaging container

An opening device for a packaging container comprises a neck portion and a screw cap. The opening device comprises a wall of the first part of the screw cap being with a weakening extending in a circumferential direction of the first part and a recess extending in a longitudinal center axis direction of the first part. The recess is arranged to receive a projection of the neck portion, which projection is directly injection-molded in the recess. A tamper flap of the first part, which tamper flap is defined by the weakening and the recess, is automatically deformable in connection with a first time opening of the packaging container by cap rotation.
