The disclosure discloses methods and systems for reserving a tray for a user for special media printing. The method includes receiving one or more special media sheets as loaded by the user in the tray. Based on the loaded special media sheets, a tray ID of the tray is automatically identified. A user interface is provided to the user to input loaded media details such as media size, type, and color. Then, it is checked with the user whether to reserve the identified tray for the user for special media printing. Based on the check, a user interface is further provided to the user to input a user ID. Finally, the identified tray is automatically reserved for the user using the user ID and the tray ID, for printing a document later received from the user on the one or more special media sheets as loaded in the identified/reserved tray.

Reserving a tray for a user for special media printing

The disclosure discloses methods and systems for allowing a user to reserve a tray for special media printing while submitting a document for printing, the method is implemented at a print driver application running on a computing device. The method includes receiving a print request for the document through the print driver application. A user interface is provided to the user including one or more print attributes, wherein at least one print attribute includes special media option. Upon selection of the special media option, a list of one or more trays available at at least one multi-function device for special media printing is displayed. Thereafter, the user is allowed to select a tray from the displayed tray list for reservation for special media printing at the at least one multi-function device.

Methods and systems for reserving a tray for special media printing while submitting a document for printing

The disclosure discloses methods and systems for assisting users via interactive voice-based job-related instructions. The method includes receiving a job having one or more attributes. A call from a mobile device of the user is received and a connection is established between the mobile device and a multi-function device. It is then checked whether the mobile device is a registered mobile device. Based on the check, an interactive voice response unit is automatically activated over the established the call. Then, one or more voice-based instructions are sent to change at least one attribute related to the job. Based on the voice-based instructions, an input key submitted through the mobile device is received to change the at least one attribute. The at least one attribute is changed at the multi-function device in real-time. Finally, the job is printed in accordance with the at least one changed attribute and remaining attributes.

Systems and methods for providing assistance through one or more voice-based instructions via multi-function device

The disclosure discloses methods and systems for assisting users via interactive voice-based job-related instructions. The method includes receiving a job from a user. A call is received from a mobile device of the user. A call connection is established between the mobile device and a multi-function device. It is then checked whether the mobile device is a registered mobile device. After checking, the job corresponding to the user is identified. An interactive voice response (IVR) unit is automatically activated over the established call. Then, one or more initial voice-based instructions are transmitted to the mobile device of the user. An input key is submitted through the mobile device based on at least one initial voice-based instruction. Based on the input key, further one or more voice-based instructions are transmitted to the mobile device of the user, the further one or more voice-based instructions provide information about the print job.

Systems and methods for assisting users through interactive voice-based job-related instructions via multi-function device

The present disclosure discloses methods and systems for providing enhanced level of security for devices and/or applications on the devices. The method includes receiving a request from a user for setting a secure code as PIN with pattern option for accessing a device, for example. Then, a touch based keypad having a series of dots is displayed, each dot is associated with a pre-defined number. The secure code as input by the user is received, wherein the secure code is a combination of PIN and pattern. Then, the secure code is stored in the form of numbers along with pattern for the user. Thereafter, a request for accessing the device is received. The user is prompted to input a secure code. The secure code input by the user is matched with the stored secure code. Based on the matching, the user is allowed to access the device.
