A method for manufacturing an organic light emitting display apparatus can include forming a transistor on a substrate; forming a planarization film having a lower contact hole on the transistor; forming a connection electrode electrically connected with the transistor through the lower contact hole on the planarization film; and forming an insulating film having a contact hole on the planarization film on which the connection electrode is patterned. Also, the method can further include forming a first electrode having a contact area covering the contact hole on the insulating film and a protrusion vertically protruded on a boundary surface of the contact hole; forming a fence film on the insulating film on which the first electrode is patterned; forming an organic light emitting layer on the first electrode and the fence film; and forming a second electrode on the organic light emitting layer.

Organic light emitting display apparatus

Discussed is a display apparatus including a substrate having a plurality of subpixels with a first subpixel and a second subpixel, an insulating layer having a trench on the substrate, a first electrode provided in each of the first and second subpixels on the insulating layer, a light emitting layer provided on the insulating layer and the first electrode, a second electrode provided on the light emitting layer, an encapsulation layer provided on the second electrode, and a light absorption layer provided in a region overlapping the trench. The trench and the light absorption layer can be provided in a boundary region between the first subpixel and the second subpixel.

Display apparatus

An organic light emitting display apparatus can include an insulating film disposed on a substrate, a first electrode disposed on the insulating film, an organic light emitting layer disposed on the first electrode, and a second electrode disposed on the organic light emitting layer, wherein the first electrode can be provided with a contact area that covers a contact hole passing through the insulating film, and a protrusion vertically protruded from an upper surface of the first electrode on a boundary surface of the contact hole.

Display device and method of operating the same

A light controlling device and a method for fabricating the same are disclosed, in which liquid crystals and dichroic dyes may uniformly be distributed on a liquid crystal layer, and adhesion between upper and lower substrates may be improved. The light controlling device comprises first and second substrates facing each other; liquid crystal cells arranged between the first substrate and the second substrate, including liquid crystals; and a barrier arranged between the first substrate and the second substrate, partitioning the liquid crystal cells. The barrier includes a first barrier arranged in a first area to have a first pitch and a second barrier arranged in a second area surrounding the first area to have a second pitch.

Light controlling device and method for fabricating the same

A transparent display device that may improve light transmittance in a transmissive mode, and a method for fabricating the same are discussed. The transparent display device according to an embodiment includes a first substrate, a second substrate facing a first surface of the first substrate, and a third substrate facing a second surface of the first substrate; a display unit arranged between the first and third substrates, and including a transmissive area and an emission area; and a light controller arranged between the first and second substrates, and transmitting or shielding incident light. The light controller includes a control thin film transistor provided on the first surface of the first substrate; a first electrode provided on the control thin film transistor; a second electrode provided on one surface of the second substrate facing the first substrate; and liquid crystal cells arranged between the first electrode and the second electrode. The control thin film transistor is arranged to correspond to the emission area.

Transparent display device and method for fabricating the same

Provided are a light controlling apparatus and a method of fabricating the same. The light controlling apparatus includes: a first electrode unit and a second electrode unit facing each other; a liquid crystal unit between the first electrode unit and the second electrode unit, the liquid crystal unit including a liquid crystal; a wall having a first polymer being polymerized from a first monomer the first monomer having a higher diffusion speed than a second monomer; and a network having a second polymer being polymerized from the second monomer, the second monomer having a lower diffusion speed than the first monomer.

Light controlling apparatus and method of fabricating the same

Disclosed is a transparent display device in which a light shield rate is not lowered by partition walls in a light shield mode, and moreover, a light transmittance is not lowered in a transmissive mode. The transparent display device includes a transparent display panel including a plurality of transmissive areas transmitting incident light and a plurality of emissive areas emitting light, and a light control device disposed on a rear surface of the transparent display panel. The light control device is configured to be driven in a transmissive mode where the incident light is transmitted and a light shield mode where the incident light is blocked.

A light control device and a transparent display device including the same are discussed. In the light control device, a sealant uniformly spreads in a bonding process. The light control device includes a first substrate and a second substrate facing each other, a first electrode over one surface of the first substrate facing the second substrate, a second electrode over one surface of the second substrate facing the first substrate, a liquid crystal layer between the first electrode and the second electrode, a sealant sealing a plurality of liquid crystal cells between the first substrate and the second substrate, a first dam structure in a boundary between the sealant and the liquid crystal, and a second dam structure surrounding an outer side of the sealant. The liquid crystal layer transmits or blocks light, and the first dam structure surrounds an inner side of the sealant contacting the liquid crystal cells.

Light control device and transparent display device including the same

Provided are a light controlling apparatus and a method of fabricating the same. The light controlling apparatus comprises: a first electrode unit and a second electrode unit facing each other; a liquid crystal unit between the first electrode unit and the second electrode unit, the liquid crystal unit including: a liquid crystal; a network having a first polymer polymerized from a first monomer having a similar shape as the liquid crystal and a second polymer polymerized from a second monomer having a shape different from the first monomer; and a wall having the first polymer and the second polymer.
