A connector includes a pivot portion ( ), a sleeve ( ) and a connect portion ( ). The pivot portion includes a body ( ) and a head ( ). Each bore is in communication with a corresponding through hole and outlet. The sleeve surrounds the body and defines a plurality of inlets ( ) in communication with the corresponding channels. The connect portion is attached under the pivot portion and engaged with a pivot axle of a manipulator. The sleeve is fixedly attached to a fixed part of the manipulator. When the combined pivot portion and the connect portion is pivoted by action of the pivot axle, the sleeve remains stationary. Pipes connected to the inlets are thereby prevented from being twisted or distorted by the manipulator.

A positioning apparatus ( ) for a workpiece includes a base ( ) with a shoulder ( ), a positioning block ( ) and a circuit. The positioning block includes an upper block ( ) secured on the shoulder, and a lower block ( ) having a front surface ( ). A lay of insulator ( ) is compressed between the base and the positioning block. The circuit includes a power source ( ) and a relay ( ). The power source provides direct current voltage. The relay comprises a coil ( ) electrically connected between the power source and the positioning block, and a normal-open switch ( ) electrically connected between the power source and a manipulator which acts on the workpiece. When the workpiece contacts the front surface of the positioning block, the coil is electrified and the normal-open switch closes. The interface of the manipulator turns to high level, and the manipulator starts its next programmed motion.
