A configurable windshield wiper system for a variable sweep angle and/or variable sweep speed. The system includes a bidirectional motor, a gearbox, the gearbox having and input shaft operably coupled to the motor and an output shaft; the gear box configured to ratiometrically step down the number of turns at its output shaft relative to its input shaft; a wiper arm for sweeping a surface of a windshield, the wiper arm operably coupled to an output of the gearbox; and a controller in operable communication with the motor, the controller configured to execute an algorithm to control the position and speed of the motor to achieve a configured sweep angle and configured sweep speed for the wiper arm.

Configurable variable sweep variable speed wiper system

Provided are embodiments for performing encryption and decryption in accordance with one or more embodiments. The embodiments include generating a random key address, obtaining a pre-stored key using the random key address, and re-arranging portions of the pre-stored key using the random key address. Embodiments also include selecting a dynamic logic operation based on the random key address, receiving data for encryption, and combining portions of the received data for encryption with the re-arranged portions of the pre-stored key using the dynamic logic operation to produce encrypted data. Embodiments include re-arranging portions of the encrypted data based on the random key address and combining the re-arranged portions of the encrypted data with the random key address into an encrypted data packet for transmission. Also provided are embodiments for a transmitter and receiver for performing the encryption and decryption.

Wireless baseband signal transmission with dynamic control logic to improve security robustness

A portable wireless communications adapter includes a wireless receiver, a wireless transmitter, an electronic interface connector, and a location sensing module. The wireless receiver is configured to receive wireless data over a Wireless Avionics Intra-Communication (WAIC) frequency range between 4.2 gigahertz (GHz) and 4.4 GHz. The wireless transmitter is configured to send wireless data over the WAIC frequency range between 4.2 GHz and 4.4 GHz. The electronic interface connector is configured to mate with a portable electronic device for communication of the wireless data with the portable electronic device. The location sensing module is configured to determine a location of the portable wireless communications adapter relative to an interior of an aircraft based on WAIC communications received at the wireless receiver and selectively enable and disable the wireless transmitter based on the determined location.

Portable wireless communication adapter for avionics frequencies selectively enabled based on location within aircraft

A transceiver baseband hardware is provided. The transceiver baseband hardware includes a baseband hardware. The baseband hardware includes an encryption-decryption block. The encryption-decryption block encrypts intended transmission data and decrypts encrypted data with key coefficients via a cross logical operation of the encryption-decryption block. The cross logical operation includes when lower significant bytes of the key coefficients operating on most significant bytes of the intended transmission data and the encrypted data.

Protective approach for WAIC baseband signal transmission

A Wireless Avionics Intra-Communication (WAIC) system includes a communication network and a WAIC adapter location system. The communication network is configured to exchange data with a portable wireless device via WAIC adapter. The WAIC adapter location system is configured to determine a location of the WAIC adapter, which selectively connects and disconnects the portable device from the communication network based on the location.

Highly secure WAIC baseband signal transmission with byte displacement approach

A Wireless Avionics Intra-Communications (WAIC) interface device provides communication between a portable electronic device and a WAIC controller. The WAIC interface device includes a housing, a wireless antenna, wireless access point electronics, and an interface controller. The housing is configured to be mounted to an interior surface of an aircraft and to receive and engage the portable electronic device. The wireless access point electronics are connected via a communication port to a first wired connection to communicate with the WAIC controller. The interface controller authenticates the portable electronic device. A WAIC coordinator is connected to the WAIC controller via a second wired connection, and is configured to communicate wirelessly over a WAIC frequency range between 4.2 gigahertz (GHz) and 4.4 GHz. An end node includes a transceiver configured to communicate wirelessly with the WAIC coordinator over the WAIC frequency range between 4.2 gigahertz (GHz) and 4.4 GHz.

A portable wireless communications adapter includes a wireless antenna and wireless access point electronics configured to communicated wirelessly with a portable electronic device. The portable wireless communications adapter further includes a wireless receiver, a wireless transmitter, and a location sensing module. The wireless receiver is configured to receive Wireless Avionics Intra-Communication (WAIC) communications over a WAIC frequency range between 4.2 gigahertz (GHz) and 4.4 GHz. The wireless transmitter is configured to send WAIC communications over the WAIC frequency range. The location sensing module is configured to determine a location of the portable wireless communications adapter relative to an interior of an aircraft based on WAIC communications received at the wireless receiver, and selectively enable and disable the wireless transmitter based on the determined location.
