In some implementations, a modular sensor device includes a base that attaches to a wall in a living space. The modular sensor device also includes a power unit coupled to a first side of the base, where the power unit receives power from a power source, and where the power unit includes one or more devices that control conditions in an environment of the living space. The modular sensor device also includes a control module removably coupled to a second side of the base, where the module receives power from the power unit, and where the control module performs one or more predetermined control functions.

Implementations generally relate to systems, apparatuses, and methods for a residential sensor device platform. In some implementations, a system includes a plurality of sensor devices. Each sensor device of the plurality of sensor devices communicates with a wireless router and with other sensor devices of the plurality of sensor devices. Each sensor device includes one or more sensors operative to sense conditions in a living space and includes one or more processors. The one or more processors operative to perform operations comprising determining one or more conditions in the living space, wherein at least one condition of the one or more conditions is associated with activity in the living space. The one or more processors are further operative to perform operations comprising sharing, with the other sensor devices, information associated with the one or more conditions. The one or more processors are further operative to perform operations comprising controlling one or more operations of one or more electrical controls based at least in part on the information associated with the one or more conditions.

Implementations generally relate to systems, apparatuses, and methods for a determining a layout of a living space. In some implementations, a residential sensor device performs operations including receiving activity information collected by the one or more sensors, where the activity information includes sensed activity of one or more users at one or more user locations of a plurality of user locations. The residential sensor device further performs operations including determining one or more routes in the living space based on one or more sets of user locations of the plurality of user locations. The residential sensor device further performs operations including determining one or more object locations of one or more objects in the living space based on the one or more routes.

In some implementations, a sensor device performs operations including detecting an activity in the living space, determining contextual security information, and determining an occurrence of an intrusion event based on the activity in the living space. In response to the occurrence of the intrusion event, the device is operative to perform further operations including sending a notification to one or more destinations based on the intrusion event, and activating one or more surveillance devices based on the intrusion event.

In some implementations, a sensor device performs operations including detecting an activity in the living space, determining contextual routine information, determining user care protocol information, and determining an occurrence of an adverse health event. Implementations generally relate to systems, apparatuses, and methods for a residential sensor device platform. In some implementations, a system includes a plurality of sensor devices. Each of the plurality of sensor devices includes a first transceiver operative to support uplink communication with a wireless router, a second transceiver operative to support mesh link communication with other sensor devices of the plurality of sensor devices, an electrical control, a sensor operative to sense a condition of a living space, and a processor. The processor is operative to communicate with the wireless router, communicate with the other sensor devices of the plurality of sensor devices, and receive the sensed condition of the living space. Processors of the plurality of sensor devices are operative to select a master sensor device, wherein the master sensor device maintains communication with the wireless router, and wherein the other sensor devices of the plurality of sensor devices form a wireless mesh network.

Residential sensor device platform

Apparatuses, methods, and systems for automatically commissioning lighting controls using sensing parameters of the light controls are disclosed. One embodiment includes a building control system. The building control system includes a plurality of sensors, a plurality of lights associated with the plurality of sensors, and a controller. The controller is operative to receive sense signals from the plurality of sensors, and generate a graph based on the sensed signals, wherein the graph includes nodes that represent light locations, and edges that represent distances between the lights. For an embodiment, the controller further operative to performing inexact graph matching between a floor plan graph and the sensor graph, thereby automatically commissioning the plurality of lights based on the sensed signals of the plurality of sensors.

Automatically commissioning lighting controls using sensing parameters of the lighting controls

Apparatuses, methods, apparatuses and systems for monitoring a one or more vehicles are disclosed. One system includes a plurality of road transceivers located along a vehicle roadway, wherein each road transceiver is operative to at least one of communicate with or sense the one or more vehicles as the one or more vehicles travels along the vehicle roadway. A controller interfaced with the plurality of road transceivers or a controller within at least one of the plurality of road transceivers is operative to determined one or more operative conditions of the one or more vehicles based on the communications with or the sensing of the one or more vehicles.

Vehicle monitoring and control system

Methods, apparatuses and systems of an intelligent light controller controlling a light, are disclosed. One method includes interpreting a switch from a normal power supply to an emergency power supply. Upon interpreting the switch from the normal power supply to the emergency power supply, the intelligent light controller controllably powers the light for a predetermined period of time. Apparatuses, methods and systems for controlling a luminaire are disclosed. One embodiment includes a lighting control sub-system. The lighting control sub-system includes a luminaire, a controller coupled to the luminaire, and a sensor coupled to the controller. The sensor generates a sensed input. The lighting control sub-system further includes a communication interface, wherein the communication interface couples the controller to an external device. The controller is operative to control a light output of the luminaire based at least in part on the sensed input, and to communicate at least one of state or sensed information to the external device.

Distributed lighting control

Methods, apparatuses and systems of building control, are disclosed. One system includes a plurality of building fixtures and at least one sensor interfaced with at least one of the plurality of building fixtures. Further, each building fixture includes a communication port and a controller. For this embodiment, each controller is configured to independently control at least one of an environmental load or a security device, either receive or help designate the building fixture as belonging to a logical group of building fixtures, and share at least one of sensor or state information with other building fixtures within the logical group of building fixtures, through the communication port.

Apparatuses, methods, apparatuses and systems for commissioning a light fixture are disclosed. One method includes receiving, by the light fixture, a message from a central controller, wherein reception of the message puts the light fixture into a known condition, establishing communication between the light fixture and a user, and communicating, by either the light fixture or the user, a location of the user at a time of the established communication, to the central controller, thereby allowing the central controller to record a location of the light fixture.
