A technique for dynamic sweet spot calibration. The technique includes receiving an image of a listening environment, which may have been captured under poor lighting conditions, and generating a crowd-density map based on the image. The technique further includes setting at least one audio parameter associated with an audio system based on the crowd-density map. At least one audio output signal may be generated based on the at least one audio parameter.

Dynamic sweet spot calibration

In at least one embodiment, a computer-program product embodied in a non-transitory computer readable medium that is programmed to provide an alert for a user of an environment outside of the user's visual field of view is provided. The computer-program product includes instructions to receive an echo profile indicative of at least one object outside of the user's visual field of view from headphones and to receive a command indicative of at least one object to detect on the echo profile from the user. The computer-program product includes instructions to generate an alert for the user to notify the user of a detected object in the user's visual field of view in the event the echo profile includes the at least one object.

System and method for headphones for monitoring an environment outside of a user's field of view

A computer-program product embodied in a non-transitory computer readable medium that is programmed to communicate with a listener of headphones is provided. The computer-program product includes instructions to receive ambient noise indicative of external noise to a listener's headphone and to extract a speech component from the ambient noise. The computer-program product further includes instructions to derive an intent from the speech component of the ambient noise and compare the intent to at least one user defined preference. The computer-program product further including instructions to transmit an alert to notify a listener that the intent of the speech component matches the at least one user defined preference.

System and method for alerting a user of preference-based external sounds when listening to audio through headphones

The present disclosure relates to systems, devices and methods for vehicle headlight control. In one embodiment, a method includes receiving image data from a front facing camera of the vehicle and detecting at least one object in the image data. An illumination level of the at least one object in the image data is detected and a control setting is determined to modify illumination of at least one lighting element of the vehicle, wherein the control setting is determined to increase an illumination level for the at least one object. The method also includes controlling the at least one lighting element of the vehicle in response to the control setting. Vehicle systems and devices are provided with a front facing camera and a control unit for a plurality of lighting elements wherein control settings may be modified based on objects detected in image data.

System and method for vehicle headlight control

In one embodiment of the present invention, a wait time client enables prediction of wait times (e.g., time required to checkout at a grocery store) based on crowdsourced wait data. In operation, the wait time application downloads predicted wait data from a server. The predicted wait data reflects measured wait times for one or more location, such as the ticket line at a movie theater. The wait time client then selects a wait time data point that corresponds to a location of a point-of-interest. Based on the selected wait time data point, the wait time client determines a predicted wait time at the point-of-interest. Advantageously, by leveraging crowdsourced, deterministically measured wait times, the wait time clients enables the incorporation of realistic and up-to-date predicted wait times into the trip planning process.
