A network-controlled dispensing device is provided. The dispensing device may include a display, a scannable device identifier (e.g., QR code, RFID tag, etc.) that uniquely identifies the dispensing device to a scanning device, and a network device to establish communications with a server based, at least in part, on the scannable device identifier. The dispenser includes a controller to control dispensing of a product based on one or more product selections received from the server. The controller generates a dispense code in response to receiving one or more product selections from the server and presents the dispense code on the display. If the code received from the server matches the dispense code, the controller dispenses a product based on the one or more product selections received from the server.

Touchless dispensing system and method

A beverage brewing system with a beverage server and a brewer. The beverage server includes an information device to store a beverage recipe. The brewer includes a communication device to wirelessly read the recipe from the beverage server. During the brewing process, the brewer reads the recipe from the beverage server and sends control signals to create a brewed beverage according to the beverage recipe.

An update device for providing configuration updates, such as recipes, advertising content, software update(s), pricing updates and/or other changes to brewer parameters, to a brewer device. When turned on, the update device wirelessly connects to a cloud account associated with the brewer device. Any pending content updates associated with the cloud account are wirelessly delivered to the update device and stored. When the update device is connected to the brewer device, the update device emulates a disk drive to transfer the updates to the brewer device.
