Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A device (e.g., a user equipment (UE) or a base station) may communicate (e.g., receive or transmit) a set of service data units (SDUs) of an application data unit (ADU). The device may be aware of the set of SDUs corresponding to the ADU based on an identifier in a header of the set of SDUs. The device may determine that an SDU of the ADU is absent and proactively transmit a signal based on identifying the absent SDU. Signaling ADU awareness between distributed units (DUs) and a centralized unit (CU) of a base station is described. The CU may indicate that a set of SDUs correspond to an ADU via a user plane interface. For example, a header associated with the interface may include one or more bits identifying the ADU in a payload corresponding to the header.

Techniques for application data unit signaling

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A network entity may account for jitter in communications with a user equipment (UE) by adjusting connected mode discontinuous reception (CDRX) configuration parameters for the UE based on estimated downlink traffic arrival times. For a downlink traffic burst, the network entity may estimate a traffic arrival offset based on determining a traffic periodicity, an estimated arrival time associated with one or more packets of a traffic burst, and at least one jitter parameter. The jitter parameter may represent an uncertainty in the arrival time of the traffic burst. The network entity may select a CDRX offset value based on the estimated traffic arrival offset. The network entity may transmit (e.g., to a UE, such as an extended reality (XR) device) a message indicating the CDRX offset value, for example, as part of a CDRX configuration.

Connected mode discontinuous reception settings for periodic traffic with jitter

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some wireless communications systems, a user equipment (UE) may receive a control message indicating multiple power states, where each power state of the multiple power states may be associated with a configuration of the UE. Additionally, the UE may transition from a first power state of the multiple power states to a second power state of the multiple power states based on a condition being satisfied. In such cases, a first configuration of the UE associated with the first power state may be different than a second configuration of the UE associated with the second power state.

Considerations for communication power states

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive an indication of a configuration for a discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle periodicity, the indication including a selection of a non-integer number for the DRX cycle periodicity. In an aspect, a network node configures a quality of service (QoS) profile comprising one or more file-level QoS parameters, wherein the QoS profile applies to one or more files associated with a service flow associated with a user equipment (UE), wherein each file of the one or more files comprises one or more protocol data units (PDUs), and wherein a header of each PDU of the one or more PDUs of the file includes a file identifier and a file type of the file, and enforces the QoS profile on the one or more files.

High bandwidth low latency cellular traffic awareness

Methods, systems, and devices for method for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive first control signaling indicating a first set of communication occasions for periodic transmission or periodic reception in accordance with a first periodicity and may receive second control signaling indicating a second set of communication occasions that differs in timing from the first set of communication occasions. The UE may shift a first occasion of the first set of communication occasions to align the first occasion of the first set of communication occasions within a threshold time period from a first occasion of the second set of communication occasions. The UE may then communicate on the first occasion of the second set of communication occasions and on the first occasion of the first set of communication occasions.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine, based at least in part on one or more parameters, an extended reality (XR) compute location for XR data associated with an XR device that is associated with the UE, wherein the XR compute location corresponds to the UE, the XR device, or an application server associated with the XR data. Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for communicating time synchronized data between a client and a server. An example method generally includes synchronizing, by a client, a clock of the client with a clock source. The method also includes transmitting, from the client to a server, at an application level, information indicating the clock source, a cell identifier of a serving cell of the client, and accuracy of the clock source as a time value. The method further includes transmitting, from the client to the server, a message including data and a timestamp correlated to an event associated with the data based on the clock. The method also includes in response to the message, receiving, by the client from the server, generated data.

End-to-end time synchronization for cloud-based services

Each CC of the at least two CCs includes at least two PDSCHs or PUSCHs. The apparatus is also configured to communicate, via the set of CCs, with a network node based on the schedule.
