System and methods for inter-network user equipment (UE) registration are described herein. A managed access system (MAS) network may receive a request for services from an unauthorized UE and may generate a registration request that it transmits to the UE's home network using a call session control function (CSCF) and the Cx interface. One or more diameter routing agents on the path between the MAS network and the destination network may determine whether the registration request was received on the Cx network and if not, may discard the message. Other criteria may also be used to determine whether to forward such requests.

Inter-network IMS registration

A system including multiple routing agents associated with a server. The routing agents may be configured to share current load data associated with the server. In some cases, the routing agents may also maintain a global maximum rate limit associated with each server of network resource. The global maximum rate limit may be shared between the routing agents to allow the routing agents may provide improve load balancing and prevent overload events on the server during traffic bursts.

The request can be addressed to the proxy at an Internet Protocol (IP) layer, but include a path header, such as a Hypertext Transfer Protocol Two (HTTP/2) path pseudo-header field, that indicates a type of producer NF and a type of service. The proxy can select a particular instance of that type of producer NF based on the path header and can forward the request to an IP address of the selected producer NF that corresponds to the type of service indicated in the path header.
