Novel 7-isopropyl 1,2-dimethyl 3-(substituted benzoyl)indolizine-1,2,7-tricarboxylates compounds, a method of synthesizing said compounds, a pharmaceutical composition comprising said compounds and a suitable carrier, and a method of using the compounds. The 7-isopropyl 1,2-dimethyl 3-(substituted benzoyl)indolizine-1,2,7-tricarboxylates compounds, identified as adenosine Areceptor (AAR) modulators, are useful as anti-inflammation, anticancer and/or anti-ischemic agents, and as agents for treating other adenosine overexpression related conditions including rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis and fatty liver diseases, inflammation, pain, and number of pathological conditions of the central and peripheral nervous systems.

The dimethyl 7-bromo-1-(4-substituted benzoyl)pyrrolo[1,2-α]quinoline-2,3-dicarboxylates compounds, identified as anti-inflammatory agents, are useful for treating inflammation, pain, and swelling in a patient.
