A leadless multi-site stimulator system comprises a transmit stimulator device comprising a first radially expandable stent structure, a battery electrically coupled to at least one transmit stimulator electrode, a wireless transmit coil comprising the first radially expandable stent structure, and at least one transmit stimulator electronic circuit configured to transmit a stimulation signal, and at least one receive stimulator device comprising a second radially expandable stent structure, at least one receive stimulator electrode, a wireless receive coil comprising the second radially expandable stent structure, and at least one receive stimulator electronic circuit configured to receive a stimulation signal generated from the at least one transmit stimulator electronic circuit. Methods of operating and implanting the system are also disclosed.

Leadfree multi-site bioelectronic stimulator system

The present invention provides intracardiac devices and methods of implanting the same. The intracardiac devices have a collapsible stent design and include an axial pump to support cardiac function. The axial pump can feature a shaftless fluid actuator for enhanced efficiency in fluid transfer while reducing blood cell trauma. The intracardiac devices include valves that are closeable to seal implanted devices from a subject's anatomy. The intracardiac devices include a cleaning system configured to introduce and circulate cleaning solutions and therapeutics to implanted devices. The intracardiac devices are wirelessly powered and controlled. The intracardiac devices can be implanted using minimally invasive procedures without the need for open heart surgery.

A system for treating aortic dissection includes a sinotubular junction magnetic array having a first plurality of magnetic elements, a counter-magnetic array having a second plurality of magnetic elements, and an ascending aortic stent graft comprising a third plurality of magnetic elements. A method for treating aortic dissection includes the steps of positioning a sinotubular junction magnetic array at the sinotubular junction, advancing counter magnetic constructs from the femoral vein and positioning them in the right atrium, expanding the sinotubular junction ring at a target position, advancing the counter magnetic array to form an at least partial circumferential seal, and advancing and positioning an ascending magnetic graft within an interior of the sinotubular junction magnetic array. A system for treating aortic dissection, a fixation device for anchoring an ascending aortic stent graft, and a transcatheter device for treating aortic dissection are also described.

Transcatheter device, system and method for treating type a aortic dissection

A heart failure recovery device includes a fluid pump having an inlet and an outlet in fluid communication with a pump reservoir, and a pumping element disposed within the pump reservoir, the pumping element including a protrusion that in an active state is configured to rotate and move fluid away from the inlet and towards the outlet. A receiver coil can be electrically coupled to the fluid pump and is configured to subcutaneously absorb electromagnetic energy for powering the fluid pump. In certain embodiments, an implantable port provides fluid access to the pump reservoir for cleaning and maintaining the fluid pump. In other embodiments, a valve closes fluid access to at least one of the inlet and the outlet during periods when the device is not being used for treatment.

Heart failure recovery device and method of treatment

The present invention provides a minimally-invasive percutaneous device that can be positioned within the body of a subject to aid in the movement or pumping of a bodily fluid. In one embodiment, the device comprises a plurality of pump units configured to transform from a first compressed configuration where the pump units are organized in a serial arrangement into a second expanded configuration where the pump units are reorganized into a parallel arrangement.

Percutaneous device and method for promoting movement of a bodily fluid

The present invention relates to systems and methods for in situ inspection, interrogation, and maintenance of heart pump function in subjects with an implanted heart pump. In certain embodiments, the system comprises a catheter assembly deliverable to the inflow port and outflow port of the implanted heart pump. The system comprises additional components used to examine pump function and prevent malfunction. In certain embodiments, the invention allows for temporary, mid-term, or permanent exclusion of the implanted heart pump from cardiac function without surgically removing the pump.

System and method for heart pump interrogation and inspection

The present invention provides devices, systems, and methods for control of ventricular assist devices. The invention includes an implantable controller that is operatively programmed to direct physiological flow through a ventricular assist device that is substantially synchronized to the cardiac cycle of the subject. The implantable controller is also communicatively connected to an external control unit, such that the implantable controller can transmit data to the external control unit, and instructions can be sent from the external control unit to the implantable controller.

Implantable heart pump controller

The present invention provides devices, systems, and methods for control of and communication with ventricular assist devices. In certain embodiments, the invention includes an implantable controller that is operatively programmed to direct physiological flow through a ventricular assist device that can be substantially synchronized to the cardiac cycle of the subject. In certain embodiments, the implantable controller is also communicatively connected to an external control unit, such that the implantable controller can transmit data to the external control unit, and instructions can be sent from the external control unit to the implantable controller. In certain embodiments, a system and method for secure communication between a remote device and the implanted ventricular assist device is provided.

A ventricular assist device (VAD) system includes one or more external subsystems including an amplifier energizing a drive loop with alternating current, and a Tx resonator inductively coupled to the drive loop. An implanted subsystem includes a VAD, an Rx resonator that forms a magnetically coupled resonator with the Tx resonator, and a load loop for providing power to the VAD that is inductively coupled to the Rx resonator. A sensor monitors the drive loop and a controller uses the sensor data to adjust a system parameter to optimize energy transfer performance. Distributing a plurality of the external subsystems throughout a defined space provides a patient with freedom of movement within the defined space.
