This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communications that support downconversion in a radio frequency (RF) system. In a first aspect, an apparatus for wireless communications includes a first mixer coupled to an input node; a second mixer coupled to the input node; and a first mixer bias circuit configured to output a first local oscillator (LO) signal, the first mixer bias circuit coupled to the first mixer and to the second mixer to output the first LO signal to the first mixer and to the second mixer. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

Mixer with bias sharing

Aspects of the disclosure relate to devices, wireless communication apparatuses, methods, and circuitry for a t-switch with gate shunting. One aspect is an apparatus including a first differential switch having a control input. The apparatus further includes a second differential switch coupled to the first differential switch, the second differential switch a control input. A shunt capacitor is coupled between a first output and a second output of the first differential switch, and a first input and a second input of the second differential switch. A first shunt switch having a control input, an input, and an output has the input and the output coupled to the control input of the first differential switch. A second shunt switch having a control input, an input, and an output, has the input and the output coupled to the control input of the second differential switch.

T-switch with shunt for improved receiver sensitivity

Carrier aggregation (CA) may cause interference between operation on two or more carriers within a user equipment (UE). This interference can degrade signal quality on one or more of the carriers involved in the carrier aggregation, which may be referred to as 'desensing' one or more carriers. One or more isolating buffers may be coupled at a down-conversion mixer at a point where the down-conversion mixer receives a signal from a transmission line for isolating the transmission line from other transmission lines. The isolating buffer may reduce the effect of interference between multiple transmission lines carrying different carriers during carrier aggregation (CA) operation. The isolating buffers may be used in an RF transceiver supporting both 5G sub-7 GHz and 5G mmWave wireless networks and carrier aggregation across sub-7 GHz and mmWave bands.

Isolating down-conversion mixer for a radio frequency (RF) transceiver

Certain aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to techniques and apparatus for operating a wireless receiver of the apparatus in a high linearity mode. An example method includes operating the apparatus in a first mode with transmission of a plurality of transmit signals. The method also includes attenuating a received signal via an attenuator while operating the apparatus in the first mode. The method further includes amplifying the attenuated signal with an amplifier while operating the apparatus in the first mode. For certain aspects, the method further involves operating the apparatus in a second mode, bypassing the attenuator while operating the apparatus in the second mode, and amplifying the received signal with the amplifier while operating the apparatus in the second mode.

High linearity modes in wireless receivers

This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support reconfiguring degeneration components in a converged RF transceiver supporting carrier aggregation across sub-6 GHz frequency bands and mmWave frequency bands. In a first aspect, an apparatus includes an input port configured to receive a mixer input signal; a first mixer forming at least a portion of an HRM mixer and coupled to the input port; a first configurable degeneration component of a first processing path coupled between the input port and the first mixer; and a controller coupled to the first degeneration component, wherein the controller is configured to control a first aspect of a first degeneration component. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

Configurable harmonic rejection mixer (HRM)

An apparatus is disclosed that includes a wireless transceiver with reconfigurable transformers. In an example aspect, the wireless transceiver includes an amplifier, a set of transformers, and switch circuitry. The amplifier includes an amplifier input and an amplifier output. The set of transformers includes a first transformer and a second transformer. The first transformer includes a first inductor and a second inductor, and the second transformer also includes a first inductor and a second inductor. The switch circuitry is configured to switchably couple the set of transformers to the amplifier input and the amplifier output of the amplifier.

Wireless transceiver with reconfigurable transformers

A device includes a low-noise amplifier (LNA) and a matching circuit. The matching circuit is coupled to an output of the LNA and switchably coupled to at least one of a first and a second output of the device. The device may further include a power splitter switchably coupled between an output of the matching circuit and the first and/or the second output of the device.
