An adsorbent composition for reducing impurities of heat transfer fluids is provided and a process for the preparation of the same. The adsorbent composition comprises a layered double hydroxide in an amount in the range of 15 to 70 wt % of the total mass of the composition; alumina in an amount in the range of 30 to 85 wt % of the total mass of the composition; and optionally activated bauxite in an amount in the range of 15 to 50 wt % of the total mass of the composition. The adsorbent composition is economical and eco-friendly, having feed processing capacity in the range of 58 to 600 gm/gm.

Adsorbent composition and a process for preparing the same

An adsorbent composition for removing chlorides from hydrocarbon includes an adsorbent matrix and a metallic component. The metallic component forms an intimate complex with the adsorbent matrix. The adsorbent composition is characterized by pore size in the range of 20 &#x212b; to 120 &#x212b;. It is found that the amount of chlorides removed by the adsorbent composition from the hydrocarbon is in the range of 0.020 wt. % to 0.047 wt. %.

The present disclosure relates to a process to reduce total acid number (TAN) of a heat transfer fluid. The process comprises contacting the heat transfer fluid with an adsorbent composition at a temperature in the range of 50&#xb0; C. to 350&#xb0; C. and a pressure in the range of 1 bar to 10 bar to obtain a treated heat transfer fluid having total acid number (TAN) in the range of 0.003 to 0.03 and pH in the range of 6 to 7.5, wherein the adsorbent composition is provided in a fixed bed and the heat transfer fluid is passed through the fixed bed comprising the adsorbent composition at a liquid hourly space velocity (LHSV) in the range of 0.5 per hour to 10 per hour.

Process for reducing total acid number of heat transfer fluid

The present disclosure relates to a sulphur containing additive for bitumen paving mixtures. The sulphur containing additive comprises sulphur, a mixture of metal oxides, and optionally 5 at least one metal sulphate. The mixture of metal oxides includes calcium oxide, silicon dioxide, aluminum oxide and ferric oxide.

The present disclosure relates to a fiber suitable for packaging. The fiber comprises a photocatalyst and optionally, a silicon containing linker. The photocatalyst is bonded to the fiber by means of a first functional group pre-present on the fiber and optionally, a second functional group generated by a silicon containing linker. The present disclosure provides a process for separating oxygenates present in an aromatic hydrocarbon stream to obtain an oxygenates-free aromatic hydrocarbon stream. The process involves selectively removing oxygenates from the aromatic hydrocarbon stream by passing said stream through at least one zeolite based adsorbing material.

A solid shaped composite adsorbent for reducing deactivated catalyst residues and contaminants from a post polyolefin solution polymerization mixture is disclosed. The composite adsorbent comprises 70-90 wt % of an alumina component; 30-10 wt % of a clay component; and 0.5-3.5 wt % of at least one alkali metal component selected from the group consisting of elements in Group 1A of the modern periodic table.
